You still need to have an interesting personality that people want to stick around for, but that's still different from being a content creator. The reason I think it's harder to build a brand as a streamer is because I don't think there's a lot of room to be unique. Everyone can press go live and play games on twitch nowadays and everyone has pretty much done everything you could do with streaming, but when you're a content creator you have a lot more ways in which you can be unique and retain an audience, but that also takes a lot of time and resources that the players can't really afford (which I think is why the team makes the content and the players do the streams).
