Been watching Potato for years. Including all the tech and drone reviewers he's hands down my favorite. His content man.. It's such good quality and his personality and presentation and everything is dope. Years later he's still my number 1 favorite UA-cam. 14:00 I actually think you nailed it when you said if dji added the aperture adjustment, you wouldn't have to buy ANY OTHER DRONE. Something you know they thought of and said, "Let's not compete with ourselves TOO much and leave that feature out so we still sell our other drones. We'll just tell people it's about lighting or weight or something like that. " 😎👌
Gene always does the best reviews. Loved the low light comparisons between the various DJI drones. Exactly what I needed to know considering the 1 inch sensor is the main upgrade for this drone.
Ordered one less than an hour after it was announced. In-stock! Should be exactly what I wanted actually. Needed that low light performance for what I do.
Now I'll be torn between bringing the Mini 2 or the Air 2S during travel. Oh wait, lockdown. Never mind.

Actually your note about the microphone in the rc is handy even for taking notes , sometimes you take 6 or 7 takes and it takes forever to find the right one in post , a simple mic can solve alot 👍🏻

Not in the least bit excited for the 2S but way more excited to consider a DJI Pocket 3 with a 1 inch sensor since DJI tends to pair them together and leap frog them. In the order of Mavic Air/OSMO Pocket, Air 2/Pocket2. So lets hope for 2S/Pocket 3 to continue the tradition of sharing the same sensor. And with that Moaz screen competition, lets see if DJI will use that accessory port to include a flippy screen and a 1 inch sensor!!!!

I think the microphone in the controller could definitely be an update in the app. They could just hijack your phone's microphone and then sync the audio with the clip in their own software since it should be already timestamped to the flight.

11:22 it can do something like that but the footage is in the dji cache of your phone,
it record the sound from your phone mic... but cache footage is low res...
But if dji can transmit video from the drone to the remote it can surely transmit audio on the same tech

Question: Can you Active Tract only a person’s face or head or hand? Example: Zoomed out, Track circular right while zoom in to face or head. Creating a spiral look, from wide angel shot setting the general scene and then zoom in for a facial closeup of the scene’s protagonist or action?

I'm glad I watched this one! great video btw, I started out with the Mavic 2 pro, and had to sell it and hated to, now that I was ready to get another drone, I went with this one, the Air 2s since it has newer tech and a similar camera minus the adjustable aperture. I thought there was a problem with mine as it did something my mavic 2 pro didn't do, when you turn it does like a FPV drone instead of using the gimble to stay steady, so now I know it's not my drone. I just ordered the RC controller today and haven't gotten it yet but as a much cheaper option than the pro there, it should do just fine with the built in screen.
Hope MP3 will have it all! Too bad 2S missing sideway sensor and variable fstop like on pro2😅

7:30 Wow, I wasn't sure if the Smart Controller was going to work with the Air 2S because its using Ocusync 3.0. At least I know for certain it works now.

Can you adjust the sharpness? This is a real pain on DJI's consumer drones.
I almost hit the add to cart on this drone, everything look great so far with this drone with 1" CMOS 20MP sensor, new OcuSync (2.4/5.8GHz), etc. except for the active tracking - sensing system failed! I was waiting for this drone for my biking but after watching the expensive test run by DC Rainmaker, I therefore conclude that Skydio still the best in market for obstacle avoidance technology.
What kind of bike riding? I have a vid on my channel i tested mavic 2 active track on my ebike. I even rode under wooden signs at full speed and the drone never hit the sign 🤷♂️ idk check it out if ya want. I was super impressed

Hi! I am thinking of getting either an Air 2 fly more combo with smart controller or Air 2S fly more without smart controller. Is the smart controller really that convenient and better than just the regular controller? Or is it more worth it to go with the Air 2S fly more combo for about the same price.

I took delivery January 11, 2022, of the same package you have. The DJI Mavic AIR 2S, with the fly more option, I also bought an extra battery. I haven't even attached the props yet. I have to register it and I have to get a pilots license here in Michigan. Any pointers you could share about the license and registering? I can't seem to get any help from anyone. any chance firmware upgrade to mavic 2 pro. they still never fixed the fake 4k resolution. would be great if they could unlock it to 5.4k as well and just give it a record limit if its a hardware limitation
I have the 2 Pro Zoom, really dont want to sell it. But I need another smaller drone. Not entirly sold on both AIR2S or Mini 2, guess i need more time.

Hey man I am having a hard time finding a setting to adjust the gimbal roll. With my mavic and phantom I use change in in advance gimbal settings where they had an option called ADJUST GIMBAL ROLL which is not available in DJI fly app anymore. I really need to control the roll axis and rotate the camera 30-45 degree angles in order to do the things I do for work. I called DJI customer service 4 times so far and they were no help. Can you please help me?
