If you want the led strips to light up like the DRLs then you tap into the DRL wire. Also you can do the fuse box light mod to have them on all the time lights on high beam or low beam or during the day. Also they look funny with the regular halogen bulbs and led strips. All you gotta do is wire the DRLs to something that is always on when you turn on the truck Like the radio and that way they always turn on no matter what, work very well for my truck
Just put these in. Very nice headlights fit well with my 8k leds. I wired them exactly like he did and they work with my Auto Headlights. If you got the money I recommend these. I’m not really a Projector fan but pretty sure they have these with projectors also
Will Phillips this is because he is wired into the corner light. When you turn on your parking lights, this turns off the DRL circuit. In the ‘auto’ setting, the DRL bulb (inner bulb) would be the only bulb illuminated. In this video, he has the headlight switch in the parking lamp setting. The lower housing (turn signal/DRL) is designed to operate as a function of the turn signal. The upper portion (low/high beam) is designed to tap into your DRL circuit. Obviously, you can wire it any way you choose. Most of these video creators are just choosing to tap into the corner marker circuit.
You could have just run a jumper wire from your positive wire you wired in for the led strip to your DRL Then you could have had them on in auto once it would go into drive and when your drl's kicked off at night and lights kicked on they would be on
