I think it's a good thing they solidified their fanbase in Asia before reaching out to the west (YG groups seems to have a large fanbase in Japan, like Ikon, that really carried some of their groups). Some companies try to push their groups to the west the second day they debuted and you can see they are not ready for it.

Do they think YG didn't discuss beforehand w/ Hyunsuk and Jihoon their plans for the group promotion, activities, album, tours and etc.? Knowing how straightforward and brave the two leaders to demand or request something to YG. I don't think they are puppets who only knows how to agree w/ everything the company had ask them to do. I believe they have carefully laid out plans that will help all the members grow and unleashed their potentials before going out in a bigger scale. And besides, they are a bunch of awkward kids before and having them experience doing concert from small to bigger venues in asia help them built their confidence. They have tremendously improve their vocals, stage presence, dancing and social skills. Experience is the best teacher. So, i agree that going w Asia first is a good move.
