Devon... allow me to put out the word that truly applies here... I’ve noticed that no one is actually using this word to describe their emotions and reaction to this horrendous circumstance that tore AWP apart. As a doctor and a psychologist, I support you and the other members, who in all good consciousness, are stepping away from AWP. The word that would allow for the clearest and most powerful sense of what happened... what Jared chose to inflict upon everyone.... is the word “betrayal”. I hope that acknowledging and understanding the word betrayal, allows everyone who was wounded and left dumbfounded, allows for some true healing. There was a profound betrayal inflicted not just on the girls in the original incident, and the subsequent instances (and there were others because predators do not stop at one or two. Ever.), but also to everyone who associated on any level with Jared and AWP. He betrayed the trust and sensibilities of everyone who was associated with him. The thing about ‘betrayal’ is that it is a conscious, deliberate and chosen breach of trust. It is a conscious choice to inflict pain. And in this case, to destroy lives and hearts. Consider applying the word betrayal here, while you recover from this situation... naming the deliberate damage done to you, always allows for healing. May you find peace as you walk away from this.
You may have not been with AWP for long but we fell in love with you anyway. You fit right in with Doug, Josh and the other guys. Please know you all have our support. We truly hope to see all of you back to doing search and recovery, but if you don't we will still support you.
Kyler has outed the team as knowingly going to false locations for footage. Be careful blindly trusting someone just because they are on UA-cam, even statements from the ‘good guys’ is obviously to cover their own ASSets. You don’t see what goes on in private.

It’s an absolute mess Devon, I’m from the UK and only learned of AWP recently and started binge watching their previous videos. To say I’m disappointed in a person I thought was wonderful and kind is an understatement. I now know that person isn’t the person I thought but as you all step away from him, we can see clearly it’s you guys that are wonderful and kind. The AWP subscribers will switch over to you as and when they notice you’re doing the right thing. What you say is what I think too, I started to get negative vibes from Jared shortly after they got really popular, I have been a sub since the start & most of the other teams like Chaos divers, Depths of history, Nug.. so many but yeah, so many are saying they got a uncomfortable vibe from Jared & look now.. guess our gut was right after all!!
I've already unsubscribed from AWP and subscribed to all the other members past and present. I will keep following each and every one of them. I pray that they all get together at some point and continue the mission of bringing closure to the families and friends of all those who are still missing.
I too am from the UK and recently found AWP, and binge watched old episodes/cases, I started following Sam Sam, Doug Bishop, Jacob and Lindsay (Chaos Diver) Britain (Depths of History) Jeremy (Exploring with Nug) and Adam Brown Adventures etc these guys are amazing and the work they have done is outstanding, as for JL he should be hung drawn and quartered as the old saying goes, for what he has done, it is beyond vile and disgusting. I hope everyone that has ever worked with/for him or been treated in an unseemly manner by this person can find help and healing for the abuse he dealt out with his narcissistic personality. I hope the families that have been helped by AWP were given some form of help off cameras, ie some families wanted to talk on camera, but others I felt were just wanting to observe the dives and resurfacing of loved ones vehicles, he often asked for money to help pay for proper funerals etc but from what I understand the families were never helped, more often than not they were asked for money by him off camera, which again is vile and disgusting behaviour
Our sincere, deepest condolences to everyone that worked at AWP that are now having to give out statements on why they had to leave. You guys had an awesome purpose and no matter what the outcome with that channel you guys will persevere once you get through this.

The accused who has admitted it said the emails are his public statement. Know that those whom were on payroll cannot just come out and say things as they signed contracts and before going into detail they need to consult attorneys to protect themselves and their families from possible litigation that make come if they are found in violation of said contracts. Have heard rumors that they had signed non-compete contracts that may prevent them from starting a similar recovery company as AWP. Hope this is not true or can be challenged in court.

I subscribed. I’m 100% behind the AWP team members & wholeheartedly support all of you in leaving the team. I haven’t liked Jared for quite some time now, & what has come out made me feel justified in feeling there was something not genuine & “off” about him. I still supported the channel, but was happy Doug was taking the lead. I so love what all of you at AWP, Depths of History, Exploring with Nug, Chaos Divers, Adam Brown, etc. do for these poor families. While Jared has destroyed AWP, I will continue to watch everyone involved & support all of you guys by sharing & donating when I’m able. I’m stuck in bed mot of the time due to multiple musculoskeletal disabilities, & I love watching these efforts to really make a difference to these grieving families. While I believe in the course of Justice, it’s very difficult to withhold judgement giving the damning evidence Jared himself provided in his emails. From what I've heard Jared didn't repeat the awful actions he did when he was 17 and offered a sincere apology including bringing it up with the family to put an end to it for good, he was also a victim. - Assuming he isn't more evil than what he's been accused of and isn't lying about all of it then explain to me how banishing the man forever and quitting/boycotting the company is "doing what is right"? How is it even a moral stance? What good comes of everyone just condemning the man to hell who already deeply understands that his past actions were wrong? Per example, after the legal process plays out and Jared hypothetically returns to doing good deeds and showing them to us on youtube what purpose would it serve to treat him like a sub-human afterwards? Does no one believe in redemption anymore? Are YOU forever guilty of your past sins and should you be perpetually punished for said sins long after you came to understand how wrong and awful your sins were? Now if he's a repeat offender and doesn't understand that what he's doing is wrong (or does and continues to do so) then that's surely a different story, he'd be an active danger to society in that case but hormones and corrupt family relationships at that age are a horrible thing to deal with for everyone involved. Everyone involved is a victim, usually perpetrated by a victim themselves which distorted their young mind in the first place.

@@donnakawana Sadly I believe that knee-jerk reaction (even if understandable for victims) takes away from the seriousness of this kind of abuse. It's a cartoon charachtcher that all these people are evil cackling monsters, some certainly are and there isn't much we can do about pure evil but the rest are a complex different story and it scares people to talk about that seriously because they'd have to confront the fact that even people most would think are good can succumb to horrendous lustful desires especially in their teen years as a male put in inappropriate positions (don't let your young kid hangout with an older teen unsupervised, your caution could save them BOTH from a life of pain and regret) But no it's easier to just assume they're all Satan like a serial killer who can't control his urge to kill. (Some like that do exist obviously, adult repeat offenders for example but I believe it happens with regular people WAY more often than anyone is willing to admit.)

People who have done evil and people who do evil are not the same thing. I completely fail to see the virtue in forever turning your back on a man who screwed up 40 years ago when he was still a teenager (who himself was abused) who appears to deeply regret his past actions. Perhaps that regret is what motivated him to be a better person in his adulthood than he otherwise would have been. Not believing in the fundamental moral concept of redemption and forgiveness isn't virtuous and I believe it's a net societal negative as changing your sinful ways to be accepted by society once more is among the primary motivations to change yourself in the first place. PS: This is simply based on what I've seen come out so far, just as your comment was. If it turns out that he's totally evil and has actively been abusing people then I'd be with you..

I am grateful that I got to meet you when you were in Tarentum, Pa. I hope the rest of the team gets back together with Doug and Nick at the helm. I think you guys were doing a great thing and need to continue. The former members of AWP are being classy, but the non- members are sounding like jealous vindictive men. Devon... allow me to put out the word that truly applies here... I’ve noticed that no one is actually using this word to describe their emotions and reaction to this horrendous circumstance that tore AWP apart. As a doctor and a psychologist, I support you and the other members, who in all good consciousness, are stepping away from AWP. The word that would allow for the clearest and most powerful sense of what happened... what Jared chose to inflict upon everyone.... is the word “betrayal”. I hope that acknowledging and understanding the word betrayal, allows everyone who was wounded and left dumbfounded, allows for some true healing. There was a profound betrayal inflicted not just on the girls in the original incident, and the subsequent instances (and there were others because predators do not stop at one or two. Ever.), but also to everyone who associated on any level with Jared and AWP. He betrayed the trust and sensibilities of everyone who was associated with him. The thing about ‘betrayal’ is that it is a conscious, deliberate and chosen breach of trust. It is a conscious choice to inflict pain. And in this case, to destroy lives and hearts. Consider applying the word betrayal here, while you recover from this situation... naming the deliberate damage done to you, always allows for healing. May you find peace as you walk away from this.

Jarod has been Indicted allegedly for 2 counts of rape, a felony, of his cousin in Utah 30 years ago, as Utah have just lifted their Statute of Limitations. Allegedly his own Sister was a victim us others. He appears in court on 30 November via video call. That means it is the end of the AWP Brand & 10 newly appointed members, who are now left high & dry with no jobs. One by one, they are Resigning on their Own Channels

It’s an absolute mess Devon, I’m from the UK and only learned of AWP recently and started binge watching their previous videos. To say I’m disappointed in a person I thought was wonderful and kind is an understatement. I now know that person isn’t the person I thought but as you all step away from him, we can see clearly it’s you guys that are wonderful and kind. The AWP subscribers will switch over to you as and when they notice you’re doing the right thing.

What you say is what I think too, I started to get negative vibes from Jared shortly after they got really popular, I have been a sub since the start & most of the other teams like Chaos divers, Depths of history, Nug.. so many but yeah, so many are saying they got a uncomfortable vibe from Jared & look now.. guess our gut was right after all!!
I've already unsubscribed from AWP and subscribed to all the other members past and present. I will keep following each and every one of them. I pray that they all get together at some point and continue the mission of bringing closure to the families and friends of all those who are still missing.
I too am from the UK and recently found AWP, and binge watched old episodes/cases, I started following Sam Sam, Doug Bishop, Jacob and Lindsay (Chaos Diver) Britain (Depths of History) Jeremy (Exploring with Nug) and Adam Brown Adventures etc these guys are amazing and the work they have done is outstanding, as for JL he should be hung drawn and quartered as the old saying goes, for what he has done, it is beyond vile and disgusting. I hope everyone that has ever worked with/for him or been treated in an unseemly manner by this person can find help and healing for the abuse he dealt out with his narcissistic personality. I hope the families that have been helped by AWP were given some form of help off cameras, ie some families wanted to talk on camera, but others I felt were just wanting to observe the dives and resurfacing of loved ones vehicles, he often asked for money to help pay for proper funerals etc but from what I understand the families were never helped, more often than not they were asked for money by him off camera, which again is vile and disgusting behaviour
Our sincere, deepest condolences to everyone that worked at AWP that are now having to give out statements on why they had to leave. You guys had an awesome purpose and no matter what the outcome with that channel you guys will persevere once you get through this.

@@lessharratt8719 I followed since the beginning as well but support these resignations. Look up these channels and look at their most recent video or two in order to put the pieces together. The accused who has admitted it said the emails are his public statement. Know that those whom were on payroll cannot just come out and say things as they signed contracts and before going into detail they need to consult attorneys to protect themselves and their families from possible litigation that make come if they are found in violation of said contracts. I subscribed. I’m 100% behind the AWP team members & wholeheartedly support all of you in leaving the team. I haven’t liked Jared for quite some time now, & what has come out made me feel justified in feeling there was something not genuine & “off” about him. I still supported the channel, but was happy Doug was taking the lead. I so love what all of you at AWP, Depths of History, Exploring with Nug, Chaos Divers, Adam Brown, etc. do for these poor families. While Jared has destroyed AWP, I will continue to watch everyone involved & support all of you guys by sharing & donating when I’m able. I’m stuck in bed mot of the time due to multiple musculoskeletal disabilities, & I love watching these efforts to really make a difference to these grieving families. While I believe in the course of Justice, it’s very difficult to withhold judgement giving the damning evidence Jared himself provided in his emails. From what I've heard Jared didn't repeat the awful actions he did when he was 17 and offered a sincere apology including bringing it up with the family to put an end to it for good, he was also a victim. - Assuming he isn't more evil than what he's been accused of and isn't lying about all of it then explain to me how banishing the man forever and quitting/boycotting the company is "doing what is right"?
How is it even a moral stance?
What good comes of everyone just condemning the man to hell who already deeply understands that his past actions were wrong?
Per example, after the legal process plays out and Jared hypothetically returns to doing good deeds and showing them to us on youtube what purpose would it serve to treat him like a sub-human afterwards? Does no one believe in redemption anymore? Are YOU forever guilty of your past sins and should you be perpetually punished for said sins long after you came to understand how wrong and awful your sins were?
Now if he's a repeat offender and doesn't understand that what he's doing is wrong (or does and continues to do so) then that's surely a different story, he'd be an active danger to society in that case but hormones and corrupt family relationships at that age are a horrible thing to deal with for everyone involved. Everyone involved is a victim, usually perpetrated by a victim themselves which distorted their young mind in the first place.
@@OGPatriot03 I guess it boils down to a lot of people are survivors of abuse and don't want to look at another user even if that person's trying to do good and redeem themselves and I'm sure he was abused too because that's how it works but he's got to deal with this and his silence is not golden so this mess is with everybody's money put yourself in their shoes. Abusive abuse and until we find out what really happened I'm not researching anything but I honor everybody who stepped down because they have to do what's right for them. @@donnakawana Sadly I believe that knee-jerk reaction (even if understandable for victims) takes away from the seriousness of this kind of abuse.
It's a cartoon charachtcher that all these people are evil cackling monsters, some certainly are and there isn't much we can do about pure evil but the rest are a complex different story and it scares people to talk about that seriously because they'd have to confront the fact that even people most would think are good can succumb to horrendous lustful desires especially in their teen years as a male put in inappropriate positions (don't let your young kid hangout with an older teen unsupervised, your caution could save them BOTH from a life of pain and regret)
But no it's easier to just assume they're all Satan like a serial killer who can't control his urge to kill. (Some like that do exist obviously, adult repeat offenders for example but I believe it happens with regular people WAY more often than anyone is willing to admit.)

Turning your back on people who do evil is always the right thing to do. Mad props to you and to the other members who have stepped away and shown themselves to possess integrity and good character. I have every confidence the former members of AWP can regroup and will continue to do great things in the future even if the path is a little unclear right now.
I'm making the rounds and subscribing to everyone who resigns from AWP. Thank you for standing up for the victims of that man and sending a clear message that the members of AWP will not tolerate evil in their leader.
People who have done evil and people who do evil are not the same thing. I completely fail to see the virtue in forever turning your back on a man who screwed up 40 years ago when he was still a teenager (who himself was abused) who appears to deeply regret his past actions.
Perhaps that regret is what motivated him to be a better person in his adulthood than he otherwise would have been.
Not believing in the fundamental moral concept of redemption and forgiveness isn't virtuous and I believe it's a net societal negative as changing your sinful ways to be accepted by society once more is among the primary motivations to change yourself in the first place.
PS: This is simply based on what I've seen come out so far, just as your comment was. If it turns out that he's totally evil and has actively been abusing people then I'd be with you..

The name doesn't make you successful, it's you the people. You are all amazing at what you have done and will continue to do, in continuing helping families. Devon, you're a good man, we all know that, think things over, land on your feet and keep moving...FORWARD. We'll be here to support you as (FORMER) AWP Subscribers. Jared blew it, only HE knew it, none of the rest of you great guys had anything to do with it. Keep in touch with Kevin, Josh, Dan, Jacob, Sam, Doug, etc and encourage them to stay in touch with you too. Maybe at some point you guys can form a new channel or use one of your existing channels and build it up or something. America and the world would Subscribe and watch your videos if you guys rebuild via some partnerships, collaborations, etc. Godspeed and go get 'em. ;)

I was wondering what you were going to do about AWP - I know it’s a disappointment on one hand but the right thing to do on the other. The (alleged) circumstances are egregious to say the least. So, it’s actually good that they have surfaced and hopefully justice will be served.

I am grateful that I got to meet you when you were in Tarentum, Pa. I hope the rest of the team gets back together with Doug and Nick at the helm. I think you guys were doing a great thing and need to continue. The former members of AWP are being classy, but the non- members are sounding like jealous vindictive men. I have been praying for all of you and will continue to do so. Maybe I can get together with all of you next time you come to Pittsburgh. Stay strong, you’re a good man.
