I got streesed a lot due to watching it day before this projector arrival. tldr; its pretty nice projector. I agree only with annyoing noise jumping around but if you watch it from few neters with noise reduction you cant really see it especially if you focus on story and picture as a whole. as for the gamma thingy i think you just might have a faulty projector. cause in my case when i watch in pure darkness its pretty good, maybe black arent best blacks but still i can see whole range of value and im satisfied and im talking from perspective of a guy that tweaks lights and composits images 8hours a day. motion compesation is really bad i recommend turning it off sharpness should be defaulted to 30 etc
One thing never changes with projectors and i can really tell you dont know much about them. Always set it up in a way that you do not need digital adjustments at all. Thats where you get that delay and image issues. Go to projector central and calculate where to put your projector and latency will be around 20-27ms. Wich is great for gaming. digital adjustments will always cause issues with the picture.. Always. Cheers from finland. And good luck with your future setups in a new hobby.
I recently bought the new Xgimi Z7x, a pocket sized 1080p 1000+ ANSI DLP projector. And the first thing that I noticed apart the latency was the shimmering on dark images. I was like WTF, why is no one talking about this ? Are people just watching cartoon ? Previously using a $100 "toy" LCD projector (Aun ET40), the image quality here looks overly sharpe, and overly grainy. Sure it solves the focus problem of cheap LCD projectors, has more brightness, and much more tech embedded, but still I was surprised by the image quality after comparing. I think the cost of those devices goes more to the tech. Autofocus, autokeystone, sound, DLP licence, etc. They are not cheap, but still below the cost of the traditional professional projectors.
Hello. Good review. Thank you. Now I'm looking for something in this class $. Can you tell me which model is worth paying attention to. Have a good day
I'm afraid that owning two projectors is not enough to start giving any recommendations. But I personally wanna try TouYinger Q9, as the most "expensive" LCD option from this company.
I have not much complain on the xgimi horizon. Also could you give me the link to download this video's xgimi horizon thumbnail in fullhd 1080p or 2K? Thank you ❤
Lol I have xgimi halo plus which already is a little better than elfin. But when I sell it to buy horizon, you know what? Worth every cen. It is a HUGE gap between horizon and halo plus/elfin. - Native 1080p much better density. - X2.5 brighter - Big bass speaker with awesome sound, which you don't need an external speaker anymore compared to useless built-in ones in elfin/halo plus - Better lens which won't have the issue of losing focus over gradually increasing heat in the beginning of projecting Upgrade to horizon, I assure you won't regret it
@@liamlvp3886I have the mogo 2 which is a 720p projector, and I bought the horizon. I hope it will be much better because with the 720p one, I can literally see all the pixels which is very annoying …
Buys a couple of projectors and is an expert. Ive been using dlp projectors since before you were in nappies. I was looking for reviews on this projector. Yours doesn't sound like one. Sounds like someone with an serious issues with themselves
I was about to order horizon, but after your video…😅 hm I saw a few comparisons with halo+ and other projectors and those”washed out” shadows I explained with the camera settings(the horizon in comparisons is everytime brighter and if they lower the iso on the camera, the second projector would be too dark). Now I know it is the downside of the horizon itself. So what would you recommend? Would that be better to go with Halo+ ?
I'm afraid I'm not in a position to recommend projectors at this point. Because I used only two of them in my entire life, which I talked about in the video: TouYinger H5 and XGIMI Horizon. I can only say that, when I get rid of XGIMI Horizon, I want to try TouYinger T10. I don't expect any wonders from it, of course, because it's also pretty cheap, but at least it made with LCD technology and, I am pretty sure, doesn't have that retarded green shimmering. And about brightness... Well, I don't expect it to be very bright as well. But I hope it is bright enough.
"I dont know where all the praise on the internet is coming from".... well from what ive seen is side by side comparisons with similar priced units.... you did not even do a video comparison of the two you are speaking of......... all I can say is if you know nothing about projectors after owning two, there is google for research. it helps. if the cheap china projector looked better why not show us?....
@@chasejordan22 lol, come on. you definitely work for them. if Xgimi carry on this way, they will soon be at the bottom because the competitors will do better, and Xgimi will be history, no one will trust them, soon people will realise that.
I have the non-4k for over a month now and truly it is a piece of shit the company said the same thing to me and I don't know why they won't upgrade the software
This was very useful, thanks! Did you find some non-DLP projector that solved those problems?

You want an image or a video? Sorry for late reply, tough.
@@angrylee ah yes the thumbnail image of this video. It is only 720p. Do you have it as at least 1080p?
Probably not. I usually delete everything after I upload the video.
I managed to find 1280*720 only. imgbox.com/919UGjnk
I love the xgimi elfin, if the horizon is an upgrade like it's supposed to be from the elfin then it's great
