I like your videos. You are very spontaneous to the circumstances presented at your different journeys. You are very respectful. That is nice, too. I will be looking forward to see more of your videos.
Bro i really like your videos and i just subscribed 😮. I reallly hope your channel grows exponentially cause the quality is amazing. Have a good day/night!
That's very polite to ask everyone that if they want to be in the video or not, unlike just other UA-camrs who just shove the camera up on your asses whenever you want or not.
what you had is Biang Biang noodles =) loooove the texture and the simple, robust taste profile. it's not too far from a bolognese tbh, with a tad of spice.
Chinese people takes nap seriously, Not only for the strength labor force, as a office worker, we can also lay down on our bed-like chair, with blanket and blindfold, have a long hour nap depending on the regulations of company.
Even in Samsung, the phones are similarly displayed. I think it's like that for all brands of phones. I believe that Huawei's new phone is a triple fold. I'm not sure that Apple's iPhone is triple fold. But foreigners in China do like the foreign brands and steer clear of Chinese brands. China's EVs are very good, but foreigners even trash them.
The Chinese burger roujiamo 肉夹馍 is very popular with tourists. One tip: try not to stick chopsticks into your foods when taking a break - rest the chopsticks flat over the bowl / plate or on the chopsticks rest in restaurants. The reason is that sticking / standing chopsticks in food resembles joss sticks that are used to pray (gods, ancestors etc).
I can pay with WeChat and Alipay, but they charge 3% on transaction over 200rmb with my foreign credit card. I can avoid this by directly swiping my card with the store. Name of the mall, not too sure. But it's right on top of the subway stop I got off that's in the video
@@ExpatJoel 3% is crazy. Can you get away with it if you ask the merchant to split the bill into two or however many transactions needed with each being under 200rmb?
The 3% is what US cards charges merchants. Wechat and Alipay doesnt charge anything for use. So the merchant will have to pay your 3% , if I was them I wouldnt take the card.
Surprisingly not! Foreign brands are all heavily marked up here, due to import tax I believe. Just bought crocs the other day at the official shore,, they were $70. Same exact pair was $55 in USA. I'll have to try some Chinese brands next, but my Mandarin isn't good enough to like understand which ones have what fashion, etc
Another interesting and fun video. Love that you respect people and ask them for permission before filming. 🙏🏻👍🏻
1-2pm is nap time for Chinese. The busiest hours should be after 5pm until 10pm
It was around 4pm when I was in the food court though! So we had some late nappers 😁

As somebody who just started learning Mandarin the Chinese characters and translation you put on the video occasionally are really useful, like the 保安
Best of luck on your mandarin journey! It will get easier 👍👍

As a non-Chinese. I think your command of Mandarin is pretty good.
The brown bits next to the carrots are dried tofu.
Got it, thanks!
For 3$ that’s actually too much meat as compared to America

Did you end up getting that jeans? I’m so curious
Yes, bought two pairs, 275 rmb each. Forgot to include that in the video

In Hong Kong, Alipay takes 1.2% from the shop owner. I don't know the situation in Mainland China.
