This Guy, really practices and has come up with some real unique patterns that I was real enthused about! It didn't seem to do the same for you? I guess it all depends on "who you've been listening to, and who you like as a guitar player"? Personally I like, "Different and uniqueness"! OR, maybe it's "envy" that is motivating you! Who Knows! You know, I don't know what really motivates people to comment like you do, which is, "just the opposite way that I OR a bunch of others who heard him", commented on ? I really feel it has something to do with "personal tastes"! AND, who we all Personally enjoy listening to! For example, "you maybe into Heavy Metal"(this is just an example)?? If that's the case, then that would make sense!! Because this guy, was not "that kind of Heavy!" But he was, "inventive and creative", and again, I did not hear him repeat any thing "Identical" which a lot guitar players in the past, find a cool riff, and then "PLAY IT TO DEATH"! So many great things about Ariel’s playing and choices, and beautiful feel. As other people have commented, he switches up rhythm and doesn’t play the same thing twice. demonstrating a wide range of melodic choices. His feel on slide is crushing, and that open flat 2nd is haunting at the opening. And something else - because he’s tuned to an open minor chord, it sounds fresh and surprising. Basically a D-flat minor with the capo on. And that is very, very cool. With all the inversions created, and when he modulates to the major and back, it gets really really rich. This is just a perfect guitar solo. Rick Beado should be breaking this one down....
