When the video listed Lisa as the "Most Searched & Trending (Female) Idols for 2019" by Google, I can not help feel sadness seeing Sulli of f(x) ranked 4th and Goo Ha-ra of KARA in 5th place.
Hey Kelv, just wanted to say that you should take "The Asian Theory" with a grain of salt. He's great at listing facts, but his "YG Theory" of starving the public is conjecture, based on zero facts. He neglected to mention that the company was about to go bankrupt during that "starve the fans" period, due to the numerous scandals that he and other artists were involved in. He had to literally step down from the company as CEO so his name would not further damage the image of the company. YG Entertainment was going to be removed as one of the "BIG 3" K-Pop companies as well. In the past YG had also made a statement to the effect of "I'm not good with girl groups." Perhaps that's why he made that incredibly insulting comment about 2NE1's looks. I think that the company froze most production while they were trying to put out fires, the company had a bad name in the industry and they may have felt that any artist releasing content might have underperformed. I personally know that would not be true in BLACKPINK's case, they were already a juggernaut in the industry, I'm from New York and I've been obsessed since their debut. I really don't think that YG realized their global reach at that time. I think that "The Asian Theory" just enjoyed his college marketing course so much that he had to teach it to everyone.
I used to like Blackpink. But their music is not my taste. And I think I didn't get to know so much of them because they don't have much contents. But Thanks to them I get to know TWICE. In my opinion, Twice is the best for me. I respect blackpink and blink as a ONCE except to those toxic fans😅.
