1-If this picture mimics reality with linear perspective, at what point do you factor in the curve of Earth?
2-As humans that are much lower in height wouldn’t the reality perspective be a lower positioned vanishing point and horizon line with much steeper lines above the horizon line converging to the vanishing point?
3- Would you be able to share your expert testimony on a live hangout broadcast on perspective? It could be quite insightful.

Since perspective refers to how something is viewed or seen - you wouldn’t factor in the curve of the earth in a drawing like this...since our eyes are not capable of seeing that far. We can only see a limited distance in front of us. If you did a perspective drawing from an airplane or outer space, that would be different...but then of course you wouldn’t see the details on the buildings, leaves on the trees, etc. Perspective does totally depend on where the viewer is positioned. So this picture would be totally different based on the height/position of the viewer. You can easily change a drawing like this, by simply moving the vanishing point. This a great technique for teaching beginning one point perspective...how things seem to get smaller as they get further away from us...but one point perspective is definitely not all encompassing! It is just one type of drawing. Hope that helps!

1- Perspective is how we all see and it is shown in all photographs. We never view an object in actual size, yet the curve calculator performs an actual size calculation. The second an object is not touching your nose, there is an angle of attack you are viewing it at and so you will never in your life view an object in actual size. A 10m Pole, 30 meters away is not the same viewable height as a 10m pole 10 meters away as we do not view actual heights.
