Good advice but if you have two dogs then its war lol ! The technique I use for recall is simply do not let your dog off free running in an open space until its ready to return, use a long lead, train for weeks on the recall, then try it off lead, if it doesn't work then back on the lead for a few days. The dog will learn that that any attitude or negative behaviour on its part will result in loss of freedom, they soon catch on. Too many people release a young dog far too early and then of course the pup sees another dog, ball, or nice smell and its game over. Every time you try and call a dog back and it ignores you its reinforcing the bad behaviour, in the end it becomes a challenge between you and the dog. the balls are great if its just one dog, but if your out with two dogs, and they are Belgian Malinois then their drive will result in a tug of war or game of chase, I have had two dogs literally foaming at the mouth on each end refusing to let go on exactly the same ball, lol.

My dog always favours one ball no matter what how do I get around this ? I Chuck one and he will just run of with it lol
