I personally don't think Simon's statement is in a tone where he is calming the issue for the eyes of the public (everyone except Malaysians). IMO, he is making it worse by mentioning it again and making an issue about it. It is definitely alarming and eye-catching when there is authorities mentioned regarding an MLBB issue, that is why I don't understand why he does not anticipate the backlash as well. Mirko is actually right, anything you throw in social media could be clipped and be taken out of context which I don't think he knows. To clarify, I DO NOT INVALIDATE the feelings or opinions of Malaysian people. Its just that the word "noob" is taken way too far already. Majority of us know that it is somehow connected to the "ez server" mockery that Mobazane said long time ago, I think the arrow to the flag is a bit much there that is why it is taken personally. I hope Malaysians won't be violent because their doing bad already in wildcard with those pauses and lag issues, I hope this one won't add as well and make a bad image for Malaysia as a host country for an event.

I think zane did the right thing to issue an apology of what he did. That being said, I think the Malaysians are just blowing this out of proportion. This is my personal opinion as a Malaysian. 1. What mobazane did has definitely gotten a lil far, it could cause chaos because we are really strict about our national flag. We as gamers surely know that it was a joke, but it is still wrong. 2. What mirko did is literally what everyone on the internet does. Giving out statement and reaction to something. We all love drama. 3. What simon did is both correct and wrong. He should've placed his words better in order to calm the situation. Perhaps just directly contact the btk management or something and talk about that. Giving out public statement like that is kinda not it, unless if you're the MLBB admin himself. This all was just a big misunderstood. I wish the future of mlbb to be in better condition

He always give opinions on drama, it's like 60% of the reason why people follow him, it's internet dude, anyone can say anything, you don't like it? Deal with it
I mean, i kinda understand both side's arguments, but I'm indonesian and even i can't defend mirko 100% here because yes "The internet is public, anyone can read it. If it's not me it will be clipped anyway" but you sure help to fuel the fire by reading it on a livestream mirko. Both sides have to understand their position here. Simon, you're the head of an esport organization, you can't just make a statement based on your own feeling, you should consult to your legal team first before saying anything. Mirko, you have to understand your position that you're an influencer. When you say something on a livestream, you'll influence the viewers, be it in a good way or a bad way, and that you are one of THE most subscribed english speaking mlbb influencer. Saying "If it's not me it will be clipped anyway because it's public" is an ignorance, sure it will probably be clipped but the situation wouldn't be as massive as it is now if you, the big english speaking influencer didn't also talk about it. Again, as I've said earlier, in one way or another, you help to fuel the fire as well
What about DJY? DJY talking about it in his livestream and saying "Simon is hella exaggerating and nothing will happen to Zane, it's just a joke". DJY is the biggest english speaking influencer, what do u have to say to that?? Mirko never justify Zane's action, Mirko clearly said in his past livestream while reading Simon's statement that Zane probably meant it as a joke and should probably apologize. Laphel also talking about it in his livestream and he said "it's just a joke" CEO of Todak also talking about it in his past livestream and stated in his video "You guys should react to Zane's accident using AKAL (brain), it's just a joke bro. If anything MPLID putting the wrong Malaysian flag is the one to talk, why nobody talking about MPLID and all the attention went to Zane, why?"
i know CEO of Todak is not an english speaking influencer What i'm trying to say is there might be some Malaysian who also trashtalk Simon, and there's that.
Mr Karen deserved all the hate he gets regardless. It's so obvious if you have a decent education background that his post is made to flame the fire even more by saying he will bring in the authorities. It's called reverse psychology, not sure if those bird brain will even understand this term. He goes on the podcast crying and try to be the good guy it's so painfully obvious. Even more so now that he's blaming and beefing with Mirko and Naisou, which btw where global audience and casters have literally the most sane and chill community with 0 drama for all these years, I wonder who the problem is.
This simon guy is instigating, gaslighting, playing victim and blaming. Dude, this boomer can pass as politician, why he is in esport? Such a wasted talent lmao
that gaslighter old man saying dont be mad, calm down, don't beat up Zane when no one else is doing that and everyone is just laughing and then he proceeds to add more fuel by saying he will have the authorities deal with Zane instead. old man just need to shut his mouth and move on but now he is still talking about it and even involves other casters and mirko and just make things worse. SRG needs to be out of Mobile legends tournament, that organization is managed by crybabies who can't handle proper communication.
This is exactly like a Karen playing the victim card even though they were the ones that escalated the situation. I love how he posted that statement and is saying that it was meant to calm people down, well I don’t think it’s doing that. It made it even worse.
Here's my take on it (as a malaysian), actually Malaysian are pissed off due Zane action. Simon really cool shit down cuz a lot of people was going for Zane's head. Tbh me as a Malaysian, its infuriating that he "joke" with the flag. The Malaysian flag means a lot to us Malaysian. And its also againts the law if you insult the flag, can get jail time. But zane already apologise, if the authority wanna do their shit, then go on idc. Just Simon is realllllyyy manipulating people on this issue by bringing it into a podcast about Malaysian Sports Industry. Now a lot of people fucking mad again due to the shit podcast and im worried that some malaysians might get violant during BTK games. Knowing malaysians ik they aren't gonna do that cuz , yah budi bahasa budaya kita, but idk, just concern.
Oh yah and for MLBB community from other countries, maybe for u guys "joking" about ur national flag doesn't mean much, but don't apply the same mentality to other countries as well. Yes we are neighboring countries but our cultures are different and our laws that shape us in our respective country also differs. So, stop bashing these Malaysian for apparently getting offended by a foreigner joking Abt their flag. Cuz in our eyes, ITS WRONG, but maybe in u guys' perspective it's just another day in the office. Idk man, stop being toxic, enjoy life and let's play MLBB. Huhu
the point here is why mirko got involved. He said he was laughed at, but when he looked at the replay, there was nothing. it's normal for zane's fans to bash because that's how the internet is dont blame it on mirko when he done nothing at all. very unprofessional

Easy for Mirko to say that, as an influencer he should know the consequences that come from his mouth, saying anyone can react to it is ignorance. Internet is not an excuse to say anything without consequences, it's all laugh and joke until someone put bounty on your head

Not sure what’s Simon problem is.
First, why does he want to get involved in the MobaZane drama? If you want to report Zane to the authorities then go ahead, why bother posting in the Fb group as if you’re the knight in shiny armour, coming to Malaysia’s rescue. The word noob is a gaming term and doesn’t even apply to a flag ffs.
Secondly, now he’s having beef with Mirko and Naisou, two casters. Just do your job as your team owner and focus on your team 🤦🏻♂️. These 2 casters have been in the MLBB industry longer than you. You’re just an owner who out of nowhere imported a few PH players and PH coach (this itself shows 0 national pride) and managed to win a major tournament in the last 6 months.

As someone who has been following Malaysian politics for a long time, I can see how our opposition parties, which tend to be relatively conservative and rigid in their thinking, might exploit the Mobazane issue to accuse the government of being unpatriotic (if the government fails to take action on this matter). Simon, as the boss of a team backed by investors representing state-owned teams (government-linked entities), must step up and make a statement when an issue involving the national flag arises. This is necessary to protect the interests of his investors.
Moreover, our people (especially those prone to being stirred up by the opposition) might indeed react to this flag-related issue with physical harassment of Mobazane, such as protests or verbal abuse. By taking the initiative to act, Simon can help prevent the public from being easily incited, as it shows that the government has already taken action, leaving no room for the opposition to exploit this incident for political gain.
The opposition has previously stirred up issues, like protesting against concerts, accusing performers of dressing too provocatively, and opposing such events based on Islamic teachings that people shouldn't indulge in meaningless entertainment. By responding proactively, Simon also ensures that the M6 event can proceed without disruptions and even attracts more attention to the event. Truly a brilliant political strategist, haha!
I hope Malaysians won't be violent because their doing bad already in wildcard with those pauses and lag issues, I hope this one won't add as well and make a bad image for Malaysia as a host country for an event.
well...i think its start when moba spread the hatred towards malaysia..sorry..spread a jokes n making everyone joking about malaysia as an ez server..of course his jokes was so hilarious..its made a hype to the every tournament...well everyone knows that he was joking..without any achievement in every tournament and still saying "ez server" to other country..

@@darkren88 I'm talking about someone that said he shouldn't apologise. I know Zane already apologised and I respect him for that.
uncle think thry are the best team but the reality is ph import still lifting them up in international tournaments, and that is a REALTALK
That said, Mobazane’s personal safety is unlikely to be threatened. I love Mobazane’s Sharmarwa!
How about i make a joke then " Malaysia still have twin tower tho where is Yours Mobazane "
Guys in Philippines we dont care about what u say as long as u never crossed the line.... Sportmanship should start mainly on the host country, but i think one man from Malaysia talks Malice with everyone and that is UNHEALTHY....
