As a side note, Vini was incredibly exciting to watch today. Bellingham run around with pain injections to his knee but Kroos was the quarterback today pinging long balls left and right, most to the right and to Carvajal. Kroos was 14/14 for long ball passes. Insanely accurate, like usual. I honestly cannot remember a bad game by Kroos in 2023/24. He’s so underrated. I think he’s number 1 in all Europe for most successful progressive passes this season.

But, even if the ref had not blown his whistle and the goal was allowed, VAR would’ve intervened afterwards and the the goal would’ve been correctly disallowed due to offside. Simple. Hard to know if it is offsides or not but referees are human and made a mistake. If that happened at the 30th minute nobody would be talking about it.
It’s also impossible to know how the play ends if the referee does not blow.
Madrid stopped trying when the ref blew the whistle so if they tried defending de ligt shot would have been saved by lunin maybe even the defender could have blocked his shot so I think Madrid desvered to go but st the same time ref should have kept the game going but most likely as I said Madrid would have defended that

Before Bayern scored that goal, the ref had already whistled and all the Madrid players stood still when they heard the whistle. Here's the thing, the linesman thought he was off so he raised the flag, it was a mistake. So the referee blows the whistle after seeing the flag. Bayern scored after the whistle was blown so u can neither count it as a goal nor check the VAR for offside, hope I made it simple to understand, if still u couldn't then I have to tell u that u may not be smart enough to watch football.

I don’t think the ref was good for anyone. It’s true that that Bayern play shouldn’t have ended the way it did but neither for the time madrids goal was disallowed. On top of that, every time a Bayern player would lay on the floor the ref would give them 2-3 minutes stalling the final 20 minutes when Madrid had to make a comeback. And do I even need to talk about how he have Bayern sooo much time for them to try and score something after the +9 minutes! I think he forgot how to be a ref.
