This woman can't ever make a bad song it seems.
After last two or more videos of Reol, This song looks like "day off'. It has no loud shouts, it has no powerfull rhytm. It is like medicine for a soul, so warm, and kind. Thank you Reol for your amazing work, this time i was pretty surprised to get that kind of atmosphere. Best whishes!

I now know why I almost even cried today upon hearing it:
It's definitely meant as a love song towards... well, whatever you may think of: Your partner, family, your childhood, etc.
But the lyrics (YT subtitles) are also stating things like "no matter the regrets" / "don't fear loss" and stuff which gives it a sad underlying tone.
So maybe it's also a song about sorrow or pain or more like "no matter how much good happens, bad moments will happen as well, even if it means losing something/someone"
IF that is the case and Reol really went as far as to put this message into the lyrics/melody but not make it as obvious, then.... wow....
Yes, I could be overanalyzing this but oh well....
Anyway: I still love the song because it makes me think of all the good moments in my life, makes me feel nostalgic and generally gives off a warm and fuzzy feeling with the typical playfulness of Reol mixed in.
I also love the music video itself. It's just nice to watch and has simple storytelling.
It's probably about Giga and Okiku. The lyrics of the song talk about not fearing loss, and going where you want to go; which is congruent with the separate path that Reol has taken from them for two years here, accentuating it more this year; but also maintains the more optimistic and positive vibes that Reol has wanted to give to his newest songs even when she talks about painful topics (she has been doing this since "Boy" from her last EP).
As you probably already know, the bear, the rabbit, and the cat represent Giga, Okiku, and Reol respectively; so the idea behind the video is pretty obvious. However, to this I would add that the video has various visual elements and colors (including costumes) reminiscent of Endless EP, and especially the music video for "New Type Tokyo" (The last EP and last video they released as REOL -the band-)
I don't think you're overanalyzing it at all. Over the years Reol has produced many very personal songs, and has the habit of revisiting old ideas and re-evaluating feelings and messages that she has spoken about. I firmly believe that this is one of those personal songs.

If you didn’t know: In the unit REOL, Giga was a bear and Okiku was a rabbit. I wonder if Reol wrote this song because she has gone on her own path in her music career, and wants Giga and Okiku to know she loves them and not to fear loss as a bad thing.

最近の曲の歌詞見てると色々思う事ありますよね....
Boyの「君がいない違和感には慣れない」と「不在票 その後遺症」は🐻のこと連想しちゃったりだとか「煽れ初期衝動」は2020年のReolの外向きになって行きたいって気持ちを表してるのかな.......なんて
「不退転」とかいう言葉使ってるあたりはれをるの折れないぞ！っていう気持ちが詰まってるのかな？(超勝手な解釈ですみませんw)個人的にBoyは「旅立ちの曲」なのかなと思います〜

🐻と離れても一人でやってやるっていう強いプライドと、れをるのおっしゃる「ちゃちなプライド」が無い分 身軽では無い＝少し負担になっている(?)って事なのかなと思ったり……

ほんとにそうです…これだけReol自身が等身大の弱さとか決意をまっすぐ私達に届けてくれるからこそ、アップテンポの曲でもどこか切なさを感じるものが多いんだと思います。

I've always been a fan of Reol's more subdued work like No Title, so it's nice to see her lean into that sound more on this new album. Not that the hype music she does normally is bad, but it gets kind of boring when it's all she does.
