An engaging discussion at the "Unlocking the Economic Potential of AJK" conference, organized by PIDE at the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. In this session, "Beyond the Mountains: Unleashing AJK’s Tourism Potential," we will explore the vast tourism prospects of AJK. Our panelists will address whether AJK's natural beauty alone is sufficient to attract tourists, both local and international, and discuss the critical role of connectivity in boosting tourism in Pakistan. We’ll also examine the unique offerings of AJK's local communities compared to global destinations and debate the trade-offs between easy access through personal vehicles and preserving local opportunities.
