If some parts between minute 2 and minute 4 sound bad and muffled I'm testing a new UA-cam feature that only mutes the copyrighted song and not the whole audio.
@@zacheryryan6533 it was the band of the song that had the copyright, now I'll have to see if Audi persé wants to copyright this since they deleted it.

It's actually a very good commercial. Having the focus not being on the car makes me notice features I would have ignored normally. It's like how the newer Italian Job movie made minis look so cool by featuring them doing and being part of cool things.
He should probably also start a website to sell enthusiast cars from the 1980s and up. Call the site CarsAndBids something maybe? Oh I guess I'm just going too far.. nvm
Actually, germans do like fun, even if it is a bit bizarre (which this absolutely is). You can sort of see why though. This almost-short-film has little meaning and is all over the place. Well, at least it's fun and car commercials are usually beyond dull so this is a nice change of pace. Anyway, it is, according to the rumors, most likely just Audi of America arguing with Audi AG and they had to take it down.
I can actually see why they have, Audi is s luxury brand and I don't think all the details of the cars come off very luxury, it all looks very ordinary, you just wouldn't do stuff like that with those cars that cost so much...it does appear to cheapen the value a bit in my opinion. However it does look fun but this sort of fun just doesn't seem right for the Audi brand. I get it
@@suicidallooneypro I understand what you mean and Audi AG definitely thought the same but the problem is (not just with Audi but all german brands) that they are so obsessed with being serious and doing everything else at the same time. They want to be fun and appeal to younger buyers but then are too greedy and afraid to disturb their business customers and high-end market that in the end they just lock themselves into the dullest corner where no one cares. This commercial and it's existence (or lack of now) is a prime example of that.
I can see why they pulled the commercial. Probably sounded great as a concept but the whole water balloons and look for the trees part was really awkward. It could probably be salvaged with enough work. That whole narration script was overly wordy and made very little sense.
Agree, kinda ironic that an ad talking about focus and being the moment was so all over the place. A bit of a pity because I like the main message (or at least what I guess the message is)
Not sure choosing an antiwar song about the end of civilization was the best choice for a water ballon fight but it is a catchy tune and it sure is a fun video!🎈🎈🎈
I would assume German song for German brand. Also I guess water balloons aren't that far fetched from normal balloons (Luftballons literally translated is air balloons) so it fits the general theme
I hope that Doug DeMuro got paid for this, and seeing the various Auto Union component cars was neat. The choice of Nena's 99 Luftballons is a bit off, given that it alludes to a civilization-ending conflict, which is maybe a bit above the knuckle. But the voiceover is a word salad of inanities. Did someone write something rational in German and then use Google translate through several languages to end up with the final text in English?
Because it's an Asian man with a white woman. Its the bias against any positive AM representation in general, that actually challenges stereotypes or misconceptions about AM.
It is such a shame that Audi USA was forced to delete this commercial. Unlike Mercedes and BMW, Audi gave us a wholesome and positive message that we can all learn in life: Enjoying the moment. That's why we see these people, kids and adults, happily playing with water balloons together.
Yea this definitely doesn't make any sense. I just feel like someone at Audi just wanted to get the best cars currently produced and the best legacy vehicles in to one ad and this was the best way for them to do that

What a wonderful, fun, enjoyable film. People, kids, adults having fun together. It doesn't get any better than this.
It felt like a Sunday movie and I didn't want it to end.

This commercial was an absolute banger, WHY would they take this down?!
Because Germans hate fun.
They probably saw Doug's Audi Allroad video after this was released
Why in the WORLD would Audi delete this video?!!!?! ITS AMAZING 😍😍
They don't love fun
they truly are German
That was goddam brilliant. I will never understand why Audi wanted to kill it.
This thing is the greatest advertising fiasco in the whole damn ad world.
Doug said he’ll be making a video on how this opportunity came to him. He might have some insight into why it got removed
That guy should start a UA-cam channel reviewing cars
He really seems like he would be so into the quirks of cars.
@@Josmersuero And features even

I wonder if he'll use that introduction as a catchphrase? I bet that'd be a funny cold open if he used it for every car.
He could even score each one of them and track the scores in an excel spreadsheet somewhere.
Makes me proud to have been an Audi owner for most of my life. No Michèle Mouton though?
I tried. She almost said yes…

Actually bought an Audi because of this commercial.
This is truelly brilliant..masterpiece
This is a great short film.
I own an Audi and a lot of other VAG products, and I'm happier about it after having seen this video.
Why did Audi remove this from UA-cam?? It's such a good commercial especially since summer is coming to a close.
The Audi bosses didn't like how it portrayed Audi and didn't understand the point of the commercial, that's what I've heard.

When the Group B quattro showed up it gave me goosebumps
My act was a "stand in" of the founder himself. Was real fun for 2 days. The guy with the drone or sitting in the yellow car....😊
Such a great short film! Sad Audi has shut this down.
I want to live in that neighborhood!
Me too, but only if I can keep my Honda.
I guess they pulled it from UA-cam because Audi is after all a german company and having fun is not the german way. 😀
This has got to be the weirdest car commercial ever produced.
Audi HQ, Y'all is tripping to delete this. Assuming it was done by choice becauuse with all these celebs, there's a lot of legal stuff involved lol.

Such joy
I sighted an NSU in the parade of cars (at 13:05) but it wasn't listed in the end credits. I wonder what that was?

Call of Duty- OUT OF AMMO! Just wiggle your foot under any car. :D
