    Hello my friend, I don’t even know what to say. This is just a BIZZAR story that I have heard off. Sad, sick and totally insane. I just feel so bad to the mother of the victimized UK dude. What a crazy story. At any rate, I hope you’re feeling a lot better and good luck with your upcoming medical appointment. Take care and always be safe.

    Absolutely not surprised by this story because I’ve read so many horror stories about the Philippines. Unbelievable stories.
    People like to talk about corruption in Thailand but have no understanding that crime and corruption in the Philippines makes Thailand look like Disneyland.

    I am enjoying watching as you're showing me the old city area. A bit bizarre as I'm retired and live off San Kamphaeng Rd yet don't visit the area as I have Scrappy who isn't doing too well. I think it will be soon that Scrappy will go to the big forever kennel which will allow me to get out and do stuff. Cheers Bill.

    A local guy married a Filipino and she moved over here, but after several years they moved over to PH, but his family is concerned that a dire fate awaits him, i guess there must be some concern if the family think that way, one of his brothers has a PH wife as well. I think i would stay single and just have fun, to many blokes losing lots of money or their lives. In a lot of cases the guy is treated as a walking ATM, its a world wide epidemic.

    Old interests do not die just because we retire. A lot of people would not be interested in something like this at all, but only see it as a big ugly mess some poor people fell into, but after a career in law enforcement, it all poses a point of interest, like a retired contractor who just has to pull over at a construction site to see what they're building, and how they are building it. Fascinating. Truth is stranger than fiction, especially in the world of criminality, where most of it is based on strange, antisocial behavior. A deep dive into the cesspool of moral confusion. "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when at first we practice to deceive". The Bard .....I know too much about human behavior to ever think we could live without police. I do though believe that police should have some kind of right of conscience, just like doctors are supposed to have, so they could resist draconian law, but would need to be monitored to elude an infiltration of criminality into the force in order to drive a truck through it's original intent, in order to provide a liberty to criminality. In essence, a force against criminal law makers, which is not uncommon, especially lately. Bad laws neither serve, not protect, and contradict a policeman's oath of office. We can never resist tyranny too much. Just a thought.

    Thanks Bill, i remember this case well, there was a documentary on You Tube about it. Shocking stuff. I guess Evelyn is still in Jail at this time. Steven's mother was one determined lady for the love of her son, sadly taken by monsters. Bob. NZ.

    Hi Bill, this was a very sad story on all accounts. I realise the book was written by Steven's mother but maybe Steven also was very immature along with his wife. Who marries a 14 year old girl from a bar! Sounds a bit like ped stuff to me though I don't know what the legal age limits are in that country. Anyway Bill, great work and thank you.

    Living in Cebu City and have not been to the Manila area. Understand it is very gang related activity there. The Philippines do not have an infacsure or manufacturing as Vietnam or Thailand. Do not understand this.
    Also very offended from your opinion on relationships of not handling out money which makes sense and in 2.5 years. But you said to keep your heart out of it, then why the heck get involved then. In that case stay far away from any relationship or want to be in love. You are trying to be the jerk Dr phil already get that crap as my girlfriend is 32 years younger and Filipina. Crap from woke karens and old hags wearing depends. With your views I will always be single.

    • @UTCM
      @UTCM  10 місяців тому +3

      No you keep your heart and wallet closed until your sure your in a safe relationship , thats only good common sense , which some dont have.
