Morissette can adjust her voice depending on the genre she's singing. She sings ballads, jazz, rock, r&b, theatre..🙂👍
Actually, the whistle on the last part was not in the studio version of this song. She made that adlib in that bus only.

Tagalog(Filipino) language is very soft that's why we can speak practically all letters and languages. Mori can do anything about music.... Controlled Whistle, Intentional vocal cracks, Power belting, RnB, Broadway, Pop, sing and dance, Folk, Rock and Country, Falsetto, Acapella, Vibrato, Fast clear diction rapping, etc....Not just Mori knows how to perform them But she do them perfectly. 🥰💙🇵🇭👏👍

She changes the quality and tone of her voice based on the song. This is a love ballad. You don’t need growls and rasp in a love ballad. Where as in “rise up” she used a more aggressive tone, growls rasp etc etc she can sing Broadway, R&B, pop, rock country, gospel, OPM and adapts her vocal characteristics based on the genre of song. Great reaction. You r so good. My suggestion for u next is “I wanna know what love is” or “stone cold.” Thank you
I've seen seemingly hundreds of these reaction videos from different people, singers, vocal coaches, music producers and the likes regarding this performance by Morissette and you're the first one I saw to actually have the sense to time how long she was able hold her breath/note from the "Giliw" part up to the keychange/belt part all the way to the surprising whistle register. Kudos to you. And more amazing was the last part of her song which was even longer....

About her accent, when she speaks english she has little to no filipino accent at
she can remove the pino accent if she wants .. she did when she spoke with Will Smith and Alan Menken then it was al gone , she sounded very American in that video where she meet them for the Aladdin singing ( and i mean ofc the talking part with them not the singing)
Yesss but when I talk about a “neutral” accent, that is something everyone learns to do! (Yes even Americans and the English!) she just does it so so well!
She not long ago released a version of “ Jesus take the wheel “ which is a Carrie Underwood song.this version is done at home with just a microphone and music and I tell you it is amazing beyond words. I promise you won’t regret it ❤️😊

You're right. She was a bit under the weather in her Rise Up performance. She was actually supposed to do it with a whistle in the end. You should check that version though in Love Gala Night. 🔥
Dear Zara, you were so impressed with her singing with 1 breath the first time that you missed the 2nd time after that. You stopped the video in the middle of it so you missed it. PLEASE watch again without stopping & you will see after the 1st whistle that she does the 1 breath again. On another note, I just discovered an Acapella group I would love for you to react to. Their name is Home Free & the 1st song I watched is Man Of Constant Sorrow. Please start with that one but they have a LOT.
