- Hey there awesome RC fans. TJsRC back on the rocks, Rock Crawling with a Trx4 and a Gen 8 Axe. Been out of the UA-cam game for a minute. Thought I'd share some new video because the RC hobby is still a big ball of fun, especially when shared. Today we took the Trx4 and the Gen 8 out crawling on some local rocks and had a blast filming and playing on the rocks. Enjoy and be safe out there. You guys are awesome and RC trucks are Awesome, now go out there and have some RC fun with friends.

I'm over my gen8 shocks leaking. Tried better seals and all I'm done with those. Junk. I ordered desert lizards on the way. Being that's a 9lbs truck you think the same way you set yours up for that trx4 should work good? Or should set up different? I know you got some experience with these so your opinion means a lot. Thanks bro
That would be a fine place to start as any. I went with the medium stiffness of the spring options that come with the Desert lizards. Then adjust from there if you need to based on how it performs for you.
Could you please inform me the wheel and tire packages on each crawler would be greatly appreciated 👍🏁💯
The wheels on both are just generic 1.9 metal bead locks that look similar to the Vanquish Method race wheels. They can be found easily on Amazon or eBay in various color combinations by searching “1.9 metal beadlock wheels”
Each set does have wheel wideners on them which you can see installed in this video.

The tires on the Gen 8 Axe Scout are the stock Redcat Super swampers. The tires on the TRX4 are Boom Racing Hustler M/T Extreme 1.9 MC2 rock crawling tires. I show them off in this install vid here.
