I’m from st.Louis but the flyers have always been one of my favorite organizations in the east… exciting to see tortzzz bringing back that passion..
As a Coach his greatest strength is identifying what the roster can do well. He then develops a game plan to meet the teams strengths. I think this is why he is an incredible "transition coach" thriving in his early days on the job. Sadly though reminds me a bit of the late and great Pat Burns (RIP), they have a shelf life and must be let go. Go Tortz .....
Seriously looking forward to seeing Torts reshape this team. He's a proven winner and can be counted on to get results. Let's Go Flyers !! !!!

Looking forward to watching more of these! Hopefully the production value can continue to grow to match the in arena stuff. The VO is written very newsy, and the segments felt a little disjointed. Gotta hide those lavaliere mics a little better in the sit downs as well, and I think could/should the BTS a little more stylistically. Love the approach though! LGF

whoever knows what a "neutral zone trap" is will win the cage fight. Torts and Mike Keenan are the only two coaches who never use the trap or any type of strategy.

Morgan Frost hasn't played to anything near his draft slot/potential, and thus fans are already split on the guy. Dude wearing a Spurs hat during his interview sure as shit isn't going to help him in that regard.
I get that these dudes are from all over the world, but they PLAY in PHILLY, and I feel like there needs to be an awareness on both the players' part (and the _team's_ part) of what the fans here appreciate from the guys representing their teams.
Given that the on-ice product isn't likely to sell tickets this season (I'd be surprised if they won 30 games), you'd think the team would be making *damned* sure these guys were doing everything they could to be relatable to this fanbase. If you're gonna lose a bunch of games, you're a hell of lot more likely to fill seats if the fans feel like they can relate to the players.
If you're gonna wear an NBA hat in an interview, maybe make sure it's a Sixers hat, yeah? This is incredibly low-hanging fruit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@bradchristmas5104 Bedard’s numbers in the WHL are obscene, outpacing even McDavid iirc.
Not only has he produced at an obscene level (didn’t he score twice in his WHL debut at 15 years old?!), everything I’ve read about him says that the kid is *very* mature for his age (both in terms of his physical development AND his attitude/work ethic).
Barring disastrous injury or mental issues (and assuming he doesn’t do anything awful that gets him exposed as a basket case to be avoided), it’s hard to imagine Bedard will be anything other than a generational talent at the NHL level.
@@WafflesASAP McDavid wasn't in the WHL? He was in the OHL. Do you know how many players put up "McDavid" like numbers in any minor league, or junior league, and never amounted to anything in the NHL? Loads of players, there are actually more players who put up those types of numbers, who sucked in the NHL, rather than players who did put up those types of numbers, and stayed consistent in the NHL.

I'm 55 & a lifelong Flyers fan. Love Tortorella as coach, but the players are horrible. Worse yet, Fletcher as GM has never won anything. Narration by Bill Clement is the best thing about this!

I don't see how things are going to get any better if the front office isn't entirely replaced. There is only so many players coaches and staff you can go through before you realize the problem is not on the ice. here's a few legitimate questions... How many times is holmgren allowed to fail upwards into a better position in the organization? How many players is Clark going to throw under the bus? How many coaches hands are going to be tied by the governing staff? How much more bad arbitration is going to be made? How many more star players are going to be traded away for journeyman? How many bad contracts signed? How many more players are going to be pigeonholed into roles they're not comfortable with? How many more times is the front office going to demoralize the players and staff? How many more bs answers are we as fans going to put up with? How many more times is the front office going to skirt accountability? How many more excuses? And finally... When are we as fans going to wake up and realize that the people in the front office are selling the team down the river so they can get fucking rich? I no longer buy the games or the merch...I've been a lifelong fan for almost 50 years and until that front office goes, I'm fucking done. Those dumb fucks in the front office clearly don't even know what hockey is. They've proved it time and time again. And don't give me some clarky won the cup crap. The Flyers' new gloves look terrible. If the NHL forced them to change their colorway from the previous all-black gloves with the white letters on the cuff roll, then at the very least they should have just switched over to their third jersey gloves which were all-black with orange letters on the cuff roll.
The Flyers don't play the Ducks that often anyway, so they would not have conflicted with the Ducks enough for it to really matter.

Fletcher needs to go. Name one positive move this guy has made...? Signing Rasmus Ristolainen to a long term deal finished it from my perspective. Sabres tried to unload this stiff for the better part of 4 seasons.

Agreed he is right guy right now for a pretty low period in Flyers history. Let him develop the youngsters and then bring in a longer term solution, perhaps a Cassidy type 2-3 years down the road?

Holy cow, Flyers is gona end up dead-last in the east. In Europe we kind if laugh at the system they have over in america / canada that you can end up last in league and not get ruled out of NHL. Wich makes it realy, alot of "whatever if we loose" kind of mentality in alot of clubs. Before the league even starts all owners know they are gona play NHL forever. Its a realy wierd non-competetive system realy.. but i guess all north american people are gona say we are wrong in europe with how the leagues works over here. That would not be a shocker xD.
