Elfguard's 50% turn meter decrease will reduce it by half of the existing turn meter, in case anyone was wondering. If the boss is at half turn meter she will knock it back down to 25%. If the boss is at 70% she will knock it back down to 35%, etc. Armiger reduces turn meter by a flat 30%.
Yes to waste that much speed gear just to get 2 chickens is crazy. The thing is that people having trouble with this have better things to do than farm a bunch of speed gear and level up this specialist team just to kill this easy boss. I appreciate the effort and it was fun to watch but I think it is more efficient to add one good hero to your repertoire at a time rather than make completely new teams for every boss.

eLF Guard does only drop 50% of current turnmeter. I'd like to see them on the hardest/fastest boss, but looks like they should work like Armiger for sure.
I built a team very much like this for hard mode in the first month to help my clan mates out. HK, Frank (hadn't got MS at that point), Armiger, Elfguard and Satyr. Only used it on lvl30 for proof of concept but the speed is the same for lvl100 - I'd just need to up the acc and damage. Can dm you the screenshots if you'd like.
This is a good direction for videos I think. It outlines a strategy, shows us the elements to it and the easiest ways to fit them in a team while highlighting potential pitfalls. For Scarab King I was personally already set, but I really look forward to similar videos for the other bosses!
yeah same. i was brute forcing myself through the early levels. i applied block buffs to the scarab king because he always stole my buffs because i wasnt thinking about a shield champion as the fastest. my miscreated monster was too slow

Great guide ... thanks! Even after 4 months of play I still fail to use my brain somethings and try to muscle my way through things. I had to spend some silver to gear correctly, but then owned him. I think my challenge now is to really figure out how build a team that doesn't requirement me to re-gear champs that are apart of other comps, the silver re-gearing hurts.

Just finished re gear that same team. My speeds way off, had Khatun over 270 Shaper at 220. A few million silver later, cleared on first try after failing since Tower opened. As F2P already had 2 Elf Guards and 2 Armigers. Thanks again for the great content.
Never knew about Elfguard. These videos are exactly what a lot of people need. I cannot wait to see how you scale as the levels go but I have to assume you will help people push beyond what they were able to before.
@@Arkaethan If you have some better options, no need. I mean, I have Aox, Armiger and High Khatun (even Ultimate Galek), so I'm sorted with Turnmeter. Just need proper gear and a decent Shield-champ (i.e. building Valarie during upcoming events). So yes., Elfguard is not for EVERYONE, but it's damn good to know that HH has our backs, and showing us that there are some useful alternatives.
I have been stuck in lvl 30 for 2 weeks . ( i am only 28 days in game as of now ) so i don't have good champions for doom tower( or any content lol) but with this ( farmable ) team i can get trough the doom tower . Thanks ! It helped me a lot ! Keep up the good work!!!

That video was what I needed! I‘m doing UNM on a daylie base but still have 0 champs with a shield ability - except Madame Serris which resulted in a 27 minute fight against a higher Scarab. Spread some love to the rares & especially Metalshaper!
(F2P) I beat the doom tower last round and i used Armiger on destroy, Coldheart, Apothecary, Stag knight and Metalshaper you need metalshaper to be the fastest and have a shield set if you want it run on auto and have a pretty high speed on the team as a whole and you can replace Apothecary for High khatun for the speed lead
Love this, haven’t bothered with doom tower because of this boss and my level of effort admittedly. Will use this and try and push further on normal since I really should be doing this on hard with my account.
Finally, It worked! High Khatun, x2 Armigers, X1 Coldhearth w. DestroySet, x1 MetalShaper. All level 50. The best tip MetalShaper >> Faster than High Khatun, that was the Key. Thanks a lot @HellHades!

I really like this format, but consider that a lot of us ftp have all our good level 16 gear on our clan boss and arena teams. E.g. regearing cost for armiger alone is a major issue. is this possible with level 12 gear? More importantly, are the rewards from doom tower worth the silver cost of leveling gear and champs you only use for this fight?
My two cents here. It takes a long time to get a level 60 and the gear to 16 let alone the right gear. As a f2p player I only have four 60s and two 50s that get used pretty much everywhere. The fact he built a low level team on full auto (granted his "just laying around" gear is better than most of my best gear) is quite remarkable. My first time on this very fight was rough and took a while to get past. I also only just got past the second scarab too. HH shows it can be done with the right skills and stats though. Very well done to him.
u can get silver from artefact made from scarab king so it is not a problem to regear but i have an issue since i sacrificed my khatun long long ago cz im stupid i wonder if i can use lissandra in place of khatun?
1. Your speed champion is fine if it's your fastest champion, cause on their turn they can just speed boost instead of hitting the boss. Works everytime with HK 2. You don't need a shield set with Miscreated Monster, the buff applies after, but he doesn't counterattack. My team has HK speed boost, MM shield, then everyone else goes
the question is when plarium decide to give scarabking skill, which reduces turn meater manipulation?? Idea of boss is ok till you read his skill he punishing for not having shield ,and he punishing when you have shield wtf idea on higher level in hard he will be invincible ,he will remove all shield before you get you turn to put them back.

If your shield champion has shield on the same turns as their CD, HK can still be the fastest because her speed buff doesn't attack. Just need to time it when the shield falls off on her, she does her speed buff.
Awesome content! I would be glad if you will make videos for levels 120, 110, 100 and 90 normal bosses. (Yes, mechanic is the same. I'm more concerned about 2 waves before these bosses)
03:43 - do not use miscreated against the scarab boss. His shield is currently BROKEN here. If his A2 does less damage than the last time, then the new shield will not be placed.
Thanks for doing this HH! I put together a similar team to help my clanmates with HK, Metalshaper, Armiger, Satyr and Elfguard for lvl30 hard. It's an absolute cakewalk if you get the concept.
You can actually make HK your fastest with a Metal Shaper team. You may have to manual a turn or two, but since HK speed boost is on a 3 turn cd and it doesn't hit the enemy, you can make it sync to being used when the shield is down. Other than the crit requirement, why not use 3 Armigers?
True about the HK thats what I did! The only reason not the use 3 armiger would be if you are not able to clear the waves, thats why I put a coldheart in my Team, otherwise there would be not Problem with that.
So there must be a shield on at all times or just need to start off with the shield? I have the boss never getting his turn meter full with Elf, Arm, Alure in shield set, High Kat not the fastest, and then Apoth. The Boss goes off even though his turn meter is not full... or anywhere near full. I think that the main point needs to be clear that the shield MUST ALWAYS be on? Is this correct? I just pulled a metalshaper the other day but will take a few weeks to book him to always use the shield.

The key is pulling metalshaper. You act as though it is a given that you will have him. If you are unlucky and do not get him, then it could be an issue. But it is a great team and easier to pull off. I needed this video, as I happen to have metalshaper. Just did not properly spec him out. I still need to get the elfguards levelled and booked.
I love all these tactic videos, but I have to wonder, do people build specific champions to use only for Doom tower? I have a hard enough time building up champs I need for all the rest of the content, maybe when your more end game you have more luxury for that.
Bommal and Scarab you need specific teams for. Astranyx you basically use a speed nuking arena team with minor adjustments, no special heroes are needed. The others... if you have a good stable of maxed heroes, you can probably get away with simply building 1 hero specifically to help with that boss (the ones you use for the 2 spiders usually are pretty handy for the dungeon spider boss as well).
I have been having a ton of difficulty with him and the Frost Spider. I was definitely using the wrong strategy for frost spider and will correct that ASAP, I have a feeling I am doing the same with Frost Spider. I am a new almost F2P player and getting epics and legendarys that people always talk about are harder for me to even think about getting let alone gear up and book.
Great vid HH. However my Khatun is built for arena and the fastest champ I have by quite some way. So rebuilding her to be slower than any shield champ would be costly. Appreciate all you do tho mate.
I used Elfguard on my F2P account for a while. Her A2 reduces turn meter by 50% of enemy current turn meter not max. turn meter which makes her not as strong or reliant as Armiger imo. So if the enemy has 50% turn meter left it's reduced to 25% not 0%. This is quite unique as far as I know and I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but I thought it might be worth mentioning so that everyone gets the right impression of this champ.

You can form this team, but most guys cant make 5 champs with 200+ speed esp when some of them cant put a banner. Esp when they need silver to swap and lvl gear.. the problem was never champs .. it was silver and gear. Also you can solo this scarab with almost any 60 thats geared well( some res and destroy). Idk why bother throwin your silver on commons.
I am a little over 60 days in and with my very best gear I get to ~220 speed and it's not a 4-piece set at all, don't even start with shield set. I don't think anyone with such high speed gear should be struggling with Scarab 30. I managed to do it without consistent shield and all champions around 160-200 without a speed lead.
This kind of shows the issue with Doom Tower. Khatun is my arena lead at nearly 300 speed. I'm not spending 600k+ silver to take her gear off and then put another gear set on her. Until they reduce silver cost of regearing I could care less about DT. Not going to ruin my arena and dungeon champs for 3* chickens and bad gear sets.
Thank you for this guide. It got me really stoked for Doom tower! Can this team be sued to make it up to Scarab boss? I'm at 32 days played I have my Kael at level 60, fully ascended, & booked out. My best progression in to DT is floor 3 or 4. I've checked to make sure I'm on normal difficulty and the mobs on the fist floor are level 120. In your video the wave mobs levels are 100... ??? I don't understand I'm working on leveling up my High Khatun. She isn't fully booked but I do have a book in her A2, and if I remember your review video on her you said that she doesn't need to be fully booked if you have a book in her A2. I just wat to make sure that if she isn't fully booked that it won't cause a problem against Scarab boss.
Great tips HH, thank you. I will note though that for an early game FTP player getting so much high speed gear (200+) takes some time and high level dungeon runs. All good stuff to aim for though.
if anyone has vergis just put him in destroy gear and have a minimum of 2,500 defense and a minimum of 24,000HP and pair him with another defense or hp champion who places shields and they’ll easily beat scarab on normal doom tower
Dude i really tried this comp with minimus stats as he said.. for acurancy around 80-90 and worked the speed as best as i can...got deafeated on the first wave lol
I can't seem to beat the scarab king. Then I found Madame Serris, able to beat it very slowly (like 2 hours). The problem was the server cut me off before I could finish it; one of those time limit thing. As for the basic champions without the proper gears would be useless against this king.
Hi Hellhades, can you make a guess what I can do when I have not pulled a single Metalshaper within my 8 month of playtime and I need 2 Shielders? What about their speeds? I have Warlord with 3 Turn CD and Minaya with 4 Turns, than I also have Draconis with 4 Turns (not Booked), or Should I farm Valerie and then? Make her the 2nd fastest du increase buff duration by one?
I booked my Jizoh and was able to take out the Normal Scarab King. Sure - it takes a while, but he's always got a shield on, so he's kind of born for this role.
I said it before but I'll say it again it's not more so the champs it's the gear that makes this game hard or easy. If your not hitting the right amount of speed, act or crit gg. HH doesn't have good champs but he has the end end game gear that makes this stuff easy

Hey HH, thanks, this is amazingly good for me as I haven't had the time to REALLY bite into scarab ATM, just at the point where I can even try with any seriousness. I do want to ask you for a little advice in a very A or B way. So I have my HK, I have an Armi 50 doing well for himself, building up my MS and that elfguard that you showed is way too good not to try..... But I was considering building a second Armi, specially since I just redid his gear recently so I could dress a second Armi in good stuff quite quickly. Simple question then is, would it be better to go a Armi-Armi-Elfguard or stay with your guided Armi-Elfguard-Elfguard?

Elfguard is also farmable in stage 6 of the campaign so you can farm her and speed set speed boots at the same time.

1. Your speed champion is fine if it's your fastest champion, cause on their turn they can just speed boost instead of hitting the boss. Works everytime with HK
2. You don't need a shield set with Miscreated Monster, the buff applies after, but he doesn't counterattack.
My team has HK speed boost, MM shield, then everyone else goes

Idea of boss is ok till you read his skill
he punishing for not having shield ,and he punishing when you have shield wtf idea on higher level in hard he will be
invincible ,he will remove all shield before you get you turn to put them back.

Make Dragon your number 1 priority. 2 weeks straight do nothing else than dragon. This will improve your gear.

If your shield champion has shield on the same turns as their CD, HK can still be the fastest because her speed buff doesn't attack. Just need to time it when the shield falls off on her, she does her speed buff.

Any outher Turnmeter Champ will work ;) on the long run. Alure Armiger is better but you can use what ever you have pulled ;) Gl have Fun
03:43 - do not use miscreated against the scarab boss. His shield is currently BROKEN here. If his A2 does less damage than the last time, then the new shield will not be placed.
Thanks for doing this HH! I put together a similar team to help my clanmates with HK, Metalshaper, Armiger, Satyr and Elfguard for lvl30 hard. It's an absolute cakewalk if you get the concept.

You can actually make HK your fastest with a Metal Shaper team. You may have to manual a turn or two, but since HK speed boost is on a 3 turn cd and it doesn't hit the enemy, you can make it sync to being used when the shield is down.
Other than the crit requirement, why not use 3 Armigers?
True about the HK thats what I did!
The only reason not the use 3 armiger would be if you are not able to clear the waves, thats why I put a coldheart in my Team, otherwise there would be not Problem with that.
So there must be a shield on at all times or just need to start off with the shield? I have the boss never getting his turn meter full with Elf, Arm, Alure in shield set, High Kat not the fastest, and then Apoth. The Boss goes off even though his turn meter is not full... or anywhere near full. I think that the main point needs to be clear that the shield MUST ALWAYS be on? Is this correct? I just pulled a metalshaper the other day but will take a few weeks to book him to always use the shield.

I've only just started Leveling my Valarie. I don't have Metalshaper, because I'm stingy with my shards, knowing there's a fusion coming).
I'll just sub in Apothecary, because my HK is running at 220 MPH, No Valerie on my account is going to catch her.

Big THX to HH. He brought me to my (nearly) FTP Team (Khatun, Visix, Armiger, Elfguard and Metal Shaper). Works perfectly! HH is togehter with Ash and Farbstoff ary my perfect team of advisors. Please keep your good work for the future ;-)).
The key is pulling metalshaper. You act as though it is a given that you will have him. If you are unlucky and do not get him, then it could be an issue. But it is a great team and easier to pull off. I needed this video, as I happen to have metalshaper. Just did not properly spec him out. I still need to get the elfguards levelled and booked.

I love all these tactic videos, but I have to wonder, do people build specific champions to use only for Doom tower? I have a hard enough time building up champs I need for all the rest of the content, maybe when your more end game you have more luxury for that.
Bommal and Scarab you need specific teams for.
Astranyx you basically use a speed nuking arena team with minor adjustments, no special heroes are needed.
The others... if you have a good stable of maxed heroes, you can probably get away with simply building 1 hero specifically to help with that boss (the ones you use for the 2 spiders usually are pretty handy for the dungeon spider boss as well).
I have been having a ton of difficulty with him and the Frost Spider. I was definitely using the wrong strategy for frost spider and will correct that ASAP, I have a feeling I am doing the same with Frost Spider. I am a new almost F2P player and getting epics and legendarys that people always talk about are harder for me to even think about getting let alone gear up and book.
Great vid HH. However my Khatun is built for arena and the fastest champ I have by quite some way. So rebuilding her to be slower than any shield champ would be costly.

I used Elfguard on my F2P account for a while. Her A2 reduces turn meter by 50% of enemy current turn meter not max. turn meter which makes her not as strong or reliant as Armiger imo. So if the enemy has 50% turn meter left it's reduced to 25% not 0%. This is quite unique as far as I know and I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but I thought it might be worth mentioning so that everyone gets the right impression of this champ.

You can form this team, but most guys cant make 5 champs with 200+ speed esp when some of them cant put a banner. Esp when they need silver to swap and lvl gear.. the problem was never champs .. it was silver and gear. Also you can solo this scarab with almost any 60 thats geared well( some res and destroy). Idk why bother throwin your silver on commons.
I am a little over 60 days in and with my very best gear I get to ~220 speed and it's not a 4-piece set at all, don't even start with shield set. I don't think anyone with such high speed gear should be struggling with Scarab 30. I managed to do it without consistent shield and all champions around 160-200 without a speed lead.
This kind of shows the issue with Doom Tower. Khatun is my arena lead at nearly 300 speed. I'm not spending 600k+ silver to take her gear off and then put another gear set on her. Until they reduce silver cost of regearing I could care less about DT. Not going to ruin my arena and dungeon champs for 3* chickens and bad gear sets.

With the announcement of doom tower buffs to bosses doesn't this entire turn meter control approach no longer work??
I could be mistaken, but I think that they aren't buffing scarab king at all. The buffs are to the other bosses

Thank you for this guide. It got me really stoked for Doom tower! Can this team be sued to make it up to Scarab boss? I'm at 32 days played I have my Kael at level 60, fully ascended, & booked out. My best progression in to DT is floor 3 or 4. I've checked to make sure I'm on normal difficulty and the mobs on the fist floor are level 120. In your video the wave mobs levels are 100... ??? I don't understand
I'm working on leveling up my High Khatun. She isn't fully booked but I do have a book in her A2, and if I remember your review video on her you said that she doesn't need to be fully booked if you have a book in her A2. I just wat to make sure that if she isn't fully booked that it won't cause a problem against Scarab boss.
I was gonna freak when he said low level champs and then siphi was the first to show up . But then he moves on to the actual champ to be used. lol
Great tips HH, thank you. I will note though that for an early game FTP player getting so much high speed gear (200+) takes some time and high level dungeon runs. All good stuff to aim for though.

if anyone has vergis just put him in destroy gear and have a minimum of 2,500 defense and a minimum of 24,000HP and pair him with another defense or hp champion who places shields and they’ll easily beat scarab on normal doom tower
Dude i really tried this comp with minimus stats as he said.. for acurancy around 80-90 and worked the speed as best as i can...got deafeated on the first wave lol
I can't seem to beat the scarab king. Then I found Madame Serris, able to beat it very slowly (like 2 hours). The problem was the server cut me off before I could finish it; one of those time limit thing. As for the basic champions without the proper gears would be useless against this king.
Hi Hellhades, can you make a guess what I can do when I have not pulled a single Metalshaper within my 8 month of playtime and I need 2 Shielders? What about their speeds? I have Warlord with 3 Turn CD and Minaya with 4 Turns, than I also have Draconis with 4 Turns (not Booked), or Should I farm Valerie and then? Make her the 2nd fastest du increase buff duration by one?
I booked my Jizoh and was able to take out the Normal Scarab King. Sure - it takes a while, but he's always got a shield on, so he's kind of born for this role.
I said it before but I'll say it again it's not more so the champs it's the gear that makes this game hard or easy. If your not hitting the right amount of speed, act or crit gg. HH doesn't have good champs but he has the end end game gear that makes this stuff easy
YES exactly. He really shouldn't do these types of videos on his end game account. He should try them on a f2p account with our crappy gear - good luck getting the same stats. It annoyed me to no end when he said "crappy gear" - come on!!!
Even with this gear these flimsy champs will not beat the Krisk mobs in front of the L50 Scarab King.
Hey HH, thanks, this is amazingly good for me as I haven't had the time to REALLY bite into scarab ATM, just at the point where I can even try with any seriousness. I do want to ask you for a little advice in a very A or B way. So I have my HK, I have an Armi 50 doing well for himself, building up my MS and that elfguard that you showed is way too good not to try..... But I was considering building a second Armi, specially since I just redid his gear recently so I could dress a second Armi in good stuff quite quickly.
Simple question then is, would it be better to go a Armi-Armi-Elfguard or stay with your guided Armi-Elfguard-Elfguard?
