It’s fiction of course, but as a fictionalized character development, I like this pensive, soft spoken, almost melancholic, powerful brute, sultan murad. Even the music theme for the two of them us pensive, mysterious, and melancholic, which fits perfectly with the mood of their story. Kudos to the director!
In what way she's not a damsel in distress?! She is set up to be at the mercy of a cruel Sultan. As soon as she reached peace and settled with him she got killed. Her fate is of a typical damsel in distress to my opinion

"You killed my baby that's what you deserve now" Reality check: If Farya wishes to hurt Ayse when she's about to die, then, Farya clearly didn't deserve that baby. Allah killed it, not Ayse. But of course, Ayse's bad condition, it was completely Ayse's own fault. I wouldn't have done any of it, whatever she did since the beginning. Be it hiring Assasins for Farya or her baby or Killing herself and her children. Surely Murad never loved her, and that's what really hurts. But that doesn't mean she'll turn ruthless on herself. What I would've done, would've been Bolder. I would've confronted Murad everyday regarding his betrayal. Of Course that would've made him really Angry and led me in a bigger trouble than Ayse. But lastly, I would've asked Murad to kill me by his own hand as a "last wish", would've confronted him directly, "I know you wish to kill me, Farya told me all about that Fetwa, but if you have even the slightest kindness in yourself, kill me with your own hand rather than ordering the mutes to strangle me. Do it with your own hand as a Last wish. If you're a Man, kill me with your own hands Murad. And if you don't have even this kindness in your heart, Then God grant You die the most painful of deaths." Ayse cried a lot, I wouldn't have given Murad the joy of watching me cry out. Why waste my tears on a man who returns my Love with Hatred?
