Good question. The march is Prinz Eugen/Principe Eugenio, which is both an Italian and German/Austrian March. Prince Eugenio di Savoia was a prince of the Savoia family (which later on became the Italian royal family in 1861 after the unification of the country) who fought the French Army in 1706 when France was imposing a siege on Turin and the region of Pidemont, leading a winning coalition of both Italian and German soldiers to fight against France. Because of that Eugen/Eugenio is celebrated in the military tradition of both Italy and Germany. The march is mostly associated to Cavallery in Italy but not strictly.
