Just a quick update , in Patch 1.03 which released yesterday they've changed Graphics Option setting to Visuals effects and it's still demanding as before and does the same thing , and another setting appeared called Ground Haze which add a little ground fog when you look at the entire map from above to hide some draw distance issues.
Optimization, the step that I took before start playing on every game, thank god that I found your channel that talked about it, sir you just earn another subscriber.
@@Abadguy37 Its still an okay entry level GPU, but in 2024 I recommend something more midrange like an RTX 4080 Super or an upper mid range GPU like a 4090. A true high GPU is the new RTX 5090 that's releasing soon.
Thank you very much for doing this video bro. I am just playing Vice City and the game is stuttering too much even with my i9-9900 KS@5GHz + Radeon 6900XT in 4K, so I needed to know which settings are the most demanding. Now I am getting little bit better framerates thanks to your analysis :)
Another thing to add if you want those shadows casted by explosions you need to set the World Shadow Quality to Ultra. Edit: I want to say something needs to be done about the grass in the countryside. It literally kills the FPS in low end machines. Found a mod that removes grass altogether. But the countryside and the desert looks really bad then.
awesome video! by the way, is there a way to increase the resolution of screen space reflections? i have the reflection quality set to ultra but the resolution is still pretty low and is bothering me. maybe there's a command I can put in customsettings ini?
Very detailed video. Thanks to you now I am getting playable frames. Is this setting same for Vice City and GTA 3 too? And should I put Vsync on or off?
IDK exactly but lower the most demanding settings first if you still not getting playable fps , lower the rest one by one and leave ambient occlusion and shadows last , good luck.
I don't understand how you are hitting those framerates though, I have a RTX 3090 and even if I play it on 1280x720 I get range of 30-48 fps when moving around
I’m trying to run these games on a PC with 32gigs of ram, Intel i7 Evo processor with an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics set. They run beyond poorly, going to try these settings, hoping for the best of luck! I can always share my exact specs if you have any idea of what can work smoothly for me
First lower most demanding settings if the game still runs poorly then your last resort is lowering resolution there is nothing else you can do and Good Luck.
I can't believe it performs that bad in a vega64, I would expect over 200 fps in ultra, original with mods looks way better and doesn't consume as much
Yes this Trilogy is a big mess , they still need to fix a lot of problems specially the performance. they are trying to push some demanding features of Unreal Engine 4 into an old game models and textures ... , that's why most settings hit the performance so bad without improving the visuals a lot.
Some of my settings aren't sticking like Car Reflections, Cloud texture, Streetlight quality etc. They reset to default when i start the game again. Any ideas why???
@@benchmarking4386 That sucks. I guess we just wait on a fix? Otherwise maybe someone knows if we can hard save the changes in an ini file or something?

Nice video bro, it's a very good comparison among quality settings, now i know what is more convenient for good looking and high framerate. Good work

This is a fantastic video bro, keep it up
Thanks , will do.
you just saved my gameplay, thank you so much!
So... DoP on or off? You say that is a broken feature, but you turned on in the "Optimized Settings"
Yes it's broken , I didn't manage to find any scene with DOF even cutscenes , you can keep it On or Off, it won't make any difference.

Yes all games have the same settings , you should use Vsync to avoid screen tearing and get smoother and consistent FPS and Frame times.

Try to increase visual effects/graphics quality setting to improve the lighting but that will hit your performance significantly.

Could you make a guide to GTAs 4 and Vice City?
I'm running this on a potato, if I lose 8 fps on shadows then the system doesn't have enough resources to run smoothly
Can you reupload new video so people can know the new settings.
The new patch add only one setting which is Ground Haze and I did some testing and the performance impact is negligible.

would these settings work for GTA V ?
Bro your GPU is very hot, how many years have you had it? :0
It's normal , Vega cards are known for High Power Draw and high temperature , I've had the card for like 4 or 6 months I guess.
