The choreo is for shows and touring. They need to be able to keep singing while entertaining you. Imagine being at a show with their songs, with them just standing around. They try to keep it alluring and on point while giving the girls a chance to keep their breath. The MAIN dancer in the group is the groups strongest and sharpest dancer Lisa( understanding that they all specialize in certain fields). Try watching some of Lisa's solo dance work via Lilifilms. She has a rather nice assortment of work there. Also she does dance mentoring on a show called Youth With You. She can be a very tough teacher, but does so out of love of entertaining, never to just snap on anyone). One of our favorites from that show was her dance to Attention, but her dance to Intentions was just fun to watch- short, but fun. We Rock is also a stand out for just how long the choreo was non-stop. Just saying, things are toned down for live preformances for our enjoyment. So i guess you have to ask yourself which do you want, a blow out dance preformance to lip syncing at a live event, or a somewhat tamer, but still engrossing(some of their choreographers are from the states, and collab with their normal choreo crew, which gives us that wonderful blending).
To me, Blackpink's choreo is never attention getting. The members are awesome dancers and I think the choreo in is too simple for them. You will never watch a choreo for Blackpink and think "wow, look at that footwork". To me, their choreo is always arm, shoulders and hip.

@@lazerx1828 I am a blink, I love the girls. I went to both of their Atlanta concerts. I just don't think their choreo overall is as good sometimes. Their music is on my playlist every day, so I don't appreciate being called out because I don't love everything about them.
@@leteflondondu92 I agree they make it look easy. I'm not saying they are not talented. Every now and then, it would be nice for them to mix it up and do a different kind of choreo with a little more excitement and energy.

Ya it’s also about getting them close ups. They wanna show the beauty so it’s mostly choreo up top for those close up shots.

It's not "simple" it's blackpink who makes them look easy.
