    So many people's reaction to the guy at the end is, "what?" Or "I don't understand him". I love that you immediately understood the universal body language of "Get off my lawn! "

    Every song and video they have released in the past three years has been genius.

    They are not only well trained musicians with how they write their pieces - Daniel H. (lead guitar) produces their songs, Pascal (rhythms guitar) works with his brother filming music videos for the group. Enjoy your adventure down the rabbit hole

    I wasn't into metal for the majority of my life but them (and Nightwish) lured me in.
    To continue the EC journey I'd say either Hypa Hypa, because it started the hype (see what I did there? totally original, never done before) or Everytime We Touch (yes, it is a cover of the 2005 dance song by German trio Cascada which itself was partly based on the 1992 pop-rock song by Scottish singer Maggie Reilly).

    • @Erichwanh
      @Erichwanh 11 місяців тому +5

      Sometimes, consistency can be a comfort. Like, if I see an EC reaction that's new, I also see BadMoonHorrors drop a comment. It's like its own ecosystem. I like that.
      ... and then sometimes you get that one EXACT SAME commenter that recommends "aesthetic perfection". Anyone that browses young reaction channels knows exactly what I'm talking about.

    • @BadMoonHorrors
      @BadMoonHorrors 11 місяців тому +7

      @@Erichwanh You got me on ecosystem 🤣 I guess I'm going to consider myself "environmentally friendly" from now on 😉
      I experienced a bit of the 70s disco time (glitter on the front and spangles on the back) consciously, grew up in the 80s (wearing white tennis socks to black jeans and black shoes while the girls combined neon green with bright pink), hit the dancefloor when "Everybody Dance Now" was commanded and sung Loona's Bailando as a lullaby to my daughter (most likely, the poor thing fell asleep out of sheer desperation, just for me to stop). So for me, each and every EC video is considered aesthetic perfection 😁 but there might be people out there thinking otherwise. And of course they have the right to be wrong on that 😜

    Girl, welcome to the party, you just opened the door, so just put on a playlist and settle on for some laughter. Make sure to wear the water proof make up because they will have you in tears! That was fast with the shocked face 😂😂❤
    Glad you‘re willing to check out more from them.
    I was never that much into growling. But with them this changed. Now I really enjoy the breakdown in this song the most. Those are pretty growls. 😅❤
    This is like a Bodysnatchers movie. At the end they all had the same haircut and were assimilated. 😂
    What I don’t get though is the American police car. Why would there be American police in Germany. (Some other cars in the background had German license plates. And the bodybuilder spoke German too: What’s going on here? F* off you rags! (wimps/losers)! 😅
    Still this video and song are just genius! ❤❤❤

      Getting permission to use German Police uniforms and cars in a German video production is complicated. Our government is keen on people not misusing official insignia. On the other hand you can rent US-lookalike police cars and uniforms easily for not a lot of money, with no government red tape.

    Yes review everything. They are a German band that mixes heavy metal with something else ( pop/techno/party) but always has fun with it. If you want a simple list... Hypa Hypa, Pump it, Spaceman, Tekkno Train, and their cover of Every Time we Touch.

  • @gradypatterson1948
    @gradypatterson1948 11 місяців тому +1

    You hit the nail on the head when you said that they were just being young and wanting to par-tay - the style itself is called "party-core", and is a blending of euro-pop and metal, with a healthy dose of over-the-top silliness and not taking themselves too seriously even as they are very serious about the music itself (their blending of a number of wildly disparate styles is excellent)!
    This song in particular has a fair amount of pop culture references to the 90s & 2000s - but their song "Hypa Hypa" is just crammed full of 80s & 90s pop culture references - for those of us who lived those years in our teens or early 20s, it is a must-watch!
    My favorite by them, though, is their response to being rejected as Germany's pick for Eurovision - basically, the German panel that picked their representative band thought they were just too much (apparently having never actually watched some of the ridiculous performances on Eurovision contests of the past) and would be too offensive. The band then wrote their shortest song to date - just over 2 minutes - as a response: it was characteristically over-the-top and generated many "what just happened?" responses by the reactor community - exactly as the band intended 🙂 - If you want to check it out, it is called "Hurrikan" - but be prepared for some really cheesy pop (called "German Schlager")!

  • @AdolfoD
    @AdolfoD 11 місяців тому +8

    Awesome reaction! 😄😂 As many have already mentioned, reacting to 'Hypa Hypa' would be great since it's the song that marked the beginning of a new era for the band and contributed significantly to their success. I mean, they even released seven different versions of that song (all of them very different and awesome 🤣). Other fun songs you might enjoy are 'Spaceman,' 'Everytime We Touch' (a cover), 'Pump It,' 'Mc Thunder Pt 1 & 2,' and for more serious tones, perhaps 'Parasite' and 'Mindreader' would be a good starting point. ✌

    Electric Callboy are great. Next would generally be Hypa Hypa, Spaceman, Techno Train, Pump It & Hurrikan.
    The style of music is usually called partycore. Party because it's fun., core because it's metalcore due to the unclean vocals (unclean vocals tend to be screams, high fry screams, gutturals, pig squeals, bleghs etc) and due to the heaviness and breakdowns that come after the build up. That's basically what metalcore is.
    Had a quick search of your channel to look for some groups you haven't seen yet that might generate fun reactions. Here are a few suggestions.
    Hanabie - Be The Gal MV
    Nemophila - Revive live
    Passcode - Taking you out MV
    Broken by the scream - Sayonara Birthday MV
    You already did Lovebites, but more would be great.
    Babymetal - Headbanger (Legend of 1997 live)
    Rolling Quartz - Fearless
    Gacharic Spin - I wish I MV
    Fate Gear - Unbreakable Wings MV
    Otoboke Beaver - Don't Light My Fire MV
    NITA STRAUSS - The Wolf You Feed MV
    Atarashii Gakko - Night Before the Exam (Single-take performance)
    Otyken - Storm
    BEAST IN BLACK - Blind And Frozen

    "We're being young, we're being free" They produced the video in the lockdown and it was the first come together with more than familie or 2 other persons. They could meetwith more persons for business reasons and so the party was real.🎉
    And do you speak German because you understood the last part or was it just the aggression in his voice?

    Crossover Metal is the blending of heavy metal with pop or electronic music. Electric Callboy has achieved the most success in this genre. By all accounts they also seem to be a really great group of people as well! You might want to check out Kontrust, an Austrian band, much less known, but with some cool songs that show the fun side of metal. "Hey DJ!" is fun and quirky, but they can go hard. They are a really talented group of musicians with a reputation for being great folks too.
