It slings!!! Facts! The community loves your reviews. Spyder Wire at 10 grams is a FOSO dream pocket. Pegasus Mesh is 23 grams and it helps to string to the very outside “holes” It slings… #noshootingstrings
@@braylonmanz5566 yes, I’m testing them both in a multiple STX Duel 2 as my FOSO camp learns the basics. So far the Spyder Wire is super light at 10.6g and quickly working out well, the Pegasus is heavier at 23g. Pegasus mesh must be strung to the outside “holes” halfway down the head to prevent to much hold and or risking any issues. Edit: I string mine “Cord” side facing. Soft side is the back for FOSO.
@@braylonmanz5566 following up weeks later, slight shift on Spyder Wire ( you have to manually adjust a single string horizontal ), Pegasus has held up and is a beast on FOSO too.
Agree with so much of what you found here- string it evenly, not one side then the other. Along the same line, string the top string from the center out for the same reason. I’ve been using all SIs but don’t think it has to be. I’ve done six, only the last one with shooters.
Has anyone here tried and compared each orientation of the mesh? ArmorMesh is advertised as having more hold with the knot knobs side facing outward (as it appears RedStarLacrosse strung it), whereas stringing the knot knobs facing the inside of the pocket gives a more pronounced channeling effect. I'm curious to hear from a few people who tried it both ways to give me some context before I start stringing my own pocket up...
Both sides have solid accuracy, with the vertical rows interacting with the ball on either side, but the more pronounced channeling side having a bit more, The opposite side would have a more hold with the horizontal cords gripping it in. Biased here, but both sides have great hold, both have great accuracy, so don't stress it. Can't go wrong.
I am still working out my pocket it is too shallow and for me has way to much loft so I put shooters in it that helped. Can you post your stringing please I have the same pioneer head and have it strung on the "Hold" side of the mesh. If it comes out uneven just like red start I did 2 head holes at a time too keep it even.
move your side wall holes placement, bring them up 1 and try, then 2 etc...... also depends where you place the double jump if you have any. like he said in the video he did 1 double jump. look where he placed it, because his pocket is low mid, i would shift everything up one from his
I tried to create the best design I could, then I found the strongest and lightest material I could. Strength to weight ratio 10x greater than steel high abrasion resistance and waterproof. No baby powder needed :)
Great video, however, could you guys do a true stringing of the armor mesh. Every video out there on the armor mesh are all showing these strung up with no "true" stringing tutorial. could you please string it so the rest of the lax world could benefit from its splendor. Thanks guys!!!
certainly interesting and Id have to have it in more than 1 stick in more than way but not really too in love with it, definitely a preference but at 37$ not sure if it has anything over just regular mesh like stringers shack, 6 bucks.
The 2 versions of pockets are different. If you’re already here than you could report back after you test one of them out. The Spyder Wire is under 11 grams… I strung mine in a Duel 2 for FOSO, The Pegasus is 23 grams, string with another Duel 2 and has a feel that it would last for years as an offense player. Just string to the outside holes and keep it simple. No shooters needed if strung well.
Could the opposite of whip be slip? Another option would be smooth. In bowling, when a ball’s hook reaction is even and consistent it is called smooth, and when it’s more violent and jerky it’s called sharp.
It’s crazy I used to watch red star everyday when I first started playing. I love seeing you still doing it

Armor mesh is legit! Everyone should try it out!
Tehoka Nanticoke has been using it almost all season for the Buffalo Bandits this year. So i'd say it works rather well lol
I'm fan of the Buffalo Bandits.
Can't wait to get my hands on some
Next purchase!!! Can't wait

Hey, do you know if it works in a faceoff head like will any of the strings shift or should I just stick to normal mesh for faceoffs?

What mesh is better for attack? Spyder Wire or Pegasus?
Every time I string the stuff, my pocket is low. How do I go about making it a nice mid pocket?

What is the white head you have here???
Can you do a video showing how you string the entire stick?
how much does it bag out
youve almost got me upset that put Aura mesh in both my sticks. i love it. but i want to try this.
Wonder how it will hold up with every knot being a friction point for chafing

You said it was super shifty... But does it bag out bad?
Nope, it locks in after pounding it out.
Definitely hasn’t bagged out at all, and I’ve pounded it to hell, and gotten it wet several times.
Hi Nolan
I wonder if Armour Mesh is good for taking face-offs.

Brine had a dipped macrame knot mesh in 1974. It was awesome but didn’t hold up well.
Good to know! Thanks.
Where can I get one?
The link is in the description.
is this ncaa approved?
12:36 That looks like dyneema fiber -- look up Samson Lash It or Zing It.
Sounds cool. Is it strong?
@@armorlax I guess it’s not dyneema then 😂
Dyneema has really good strength to weight ratios. It’s most often used in rigging sails on boats.

Stringer’s shack G3 Ultralight is my go-to, but Armor Mesh is an entirely different beast, but you’re absolutely right, it’s all preference.
@@StephenMilano12 these are things I already knew but thank you lol my points still stand?
@@reasonrevived it has something over regular mesh like consistency and reliability.
@@StephenMilano12 regular mesh has had both of those for a decade now
No shooter strings? @armormesh sells shooters in the kit.
I put shooters in it eventually, but didn't really need to. The mesh I was sent didn't have any shooters.
The opposite of "whip" is "loft". The pocket is really "lofty".
I don’t love it, but I’ll try it out. Thanks.
I liked “saily”, and that’s not a word until now. :)

Saily is a lacrosse term now😂
I strung mine like 5 times and it kept coming out uneven
Try 6 times…
Hit me up. we'll get things straightened out for ya.

After talking about it for 5 minutes, it definitely sounds like you dont care who did it first
Good point. Thanks for participating.

This stupid shit, stx sam...strung w leather...can still snip corners....2days lax is junk
Well said.
Stay in school kids.
Are you going talk about the mesh wtf!
Relax.
