    This is a 6 part series guys. Haven't done anything with Vue in a while. I love the framework. Even if you do not have experience with Vue, I encourage you to give it a shot, nothing too difficult

    Amazing the time and effort this guy puts on his content for free
    It is also disgusting that some developers have some kind of mentality that sharing and helping others
    is not a good thing, we are a community and we need to help each other to grow and get the fruits out of it.
    Thanks Brad Traversy

    Awesome to see someone else has the same love for Angular & Vue. I feel like to many people are jumping on REACT because everyone else is. Not saying thats a bad reason but it should not be the only reason

    • @TraversyMedia
      @TraversyMedia  7 років тому +2

      Yes React is definitely what newcomers seem to jump on, sometimes without even looking at other options. I think there are too many ways to do the same thing with React and I think Redux is overused. Angular is much more full featured and guides you in the right direction on how to do things. Vue is just so simple and awesome. I do like React, it is just number 3 on my list

    I think you should update your npm to version 5.6.0 to avoid the "spawn npm ENOENT" error. I updated it today and got no errors after creating a vue project.
    Use npm i -g npm to update it. Hope this will help you and remove that error in future.

    A question: If you would store data that only person who's authenticated(logged in) could access, would you make under employees collection a document which has same id as the userID and then put data in it ?

      You don't need these for simple websites. Think of web applications like Facebook, Amazon, or Instagram. Things become much more complicated there. These frameworks and tools help us manage that complexity.
      I think you already know that there are two main aspects of a web application: the client-side and the server-side. The client-side involves everything that the user sees in the browser (also called client) and interacts with.
      Vue.js is a client-side JavaScript framework. It allows you to design complex user interfaces for a web application. One way it does that is by breaking things down into modular components that can be reused. (Angular and React perform the same function that Vue does.)
      Firestore is a cloud database that's managed by Google. Combining firestore (and its firebase siblings) and vue, you can create complete web applications without writing any server-side code.
      Hope this makes sense.

    • @missrobot536
      @missrobot536 7 років тому

      thank you so much , It's clear for me right now , but one more question , can I learn vue.js after node.js or I have to learn react before , since you said vue.js is for complex projects

    • @AsifMehedi
      @AsifMehedi 7 років тому

      By 'complex' I meant a website that's more involved than a simple content website. Vue is actually simpler and easier than node and react. Vue and react (and angular) do the same thing -- so you need to learn only one of them. I'd suggest you go with vue instead of react or angular.s
      Node is for server-side programming - for example, to authenticate a user or to retrieve data from a database. You need to understand some server-side concepts to be able to do server-side programming. Instead of writing your own server and database codes, you can use Google's firebase suite of tools. That's the quickest route to getting a web app up and running, if that's your goal.
      But if you're learning things for career reasons, you should focus on only one of these technologies for now. The prerequisite for any of them is JavaScript. It takes time to master this language. You should make sure you're comfortable with basic JavaScript before you start learning vue (or node).

    I followed your UA-cam link on this chat app although I am a YT user I am very interested in the Google Cross Platform Mobile SDK 'Flutter' built with Dart supposedly it is a competitor to React Native and works well with FIrebase backend. Thank you!
