@@BirdShotIVso happy I finally got one of your drawings I was almost more excited about the pic than the $200 SOG Kiku XR I got . By the way a great knife you should really review it . SOG has revamped the whole line this year & they will be surprising a lot of people . I've bough a bunch of the high end knives you suggested , like the Arcform Catalyst, & Sharp By Design Void , two grail knives for me . I took the advice of my favorite knife aficionados take my word & try the Kiku XR in micarta you won't regret it .

Need a 3.5 inch blade version. No legality problems in Florida if you have a concealed weapons permit. Basically you can carry anything that can be concealed. Some exceptions are dirks, and something can that fire out a knife.
How is a dirk different than a folding dagger?
How does Florida view the difference?
I got a folding dagger that's very similar to the WE one when I was about 10 and now I'm 30. It was from a dollar store and it's garbage but I still have it. Lol

Nice looking knife. One side not sharp keeps it legal in a lot of states. Oklahoma is no dagger allowed

Greetz Lady and Gentleman! A quick wiki suggests that the blade shape is a STILETTO, and in fact a dagger IS a stiletto, double-edged. Now, if we could just get everyone to adopt this nomenclature, there'd be no confusion.😏. Of course, words like "pokey" and "jabby" are equally good descriptors...

That Nadeau Dagger is beautiful and I want one in a production model. Hinderer released the Maximus about 3 years ago which was before the ones your showing. In the 1950's here in the Los Angeles area laws were passed to stop gangs from carrying switch blade daggers as they were a weapon of choice. I was a kid in the 1960's and bought one in Tijuana.
Pretty sure Brian’s was first, that Hinderer came out around a year later in 2018
@@BirdShotIV The Maximus started showing up for sale on the Bladeforums in late July of 2017, I'm not how much sooner it was available in retail outlets.
I sort of agree with Frankie: It's not a TRUE dagger blade, it's a MODIFIED dagger. Still definitely a dagger though.
The liners are steel. I just picked up the all black carbon fiber one and i will be getting a gray g10 one now.

I know someone already mentioned the Hinderer Maximus, and I have the Kershaw version, the Decimus. I also have two Two Sun Folding Daggers that are pretty old designs. Completely unique, TS 46 titanium and TS 52 Titanium which is more like a true dagger, like a tanto on either side, back to back. So yeah obviously these aren't the first folding daggers. It looks cool, I need one. Been waiting for one since I saw it in the Shot Show video. I love folding daggers, I have the Kizer Soze too, and the even older CRKT Tighe Die with button lock. That is a really cool looking one that I wish was in a better steel. I already sharpened one of my Twosun TS 46 daggers on the other side, so it's a true double edge.

Traditionally daggers could be single edged or double edged. (or even triangular ) It is always a thrusting weapon.

Angst is German word for fear
I got the WE Angst in grey and black G10, the same as yours. I personally love everything about it except that pocket clip, It's one of those really annoying 3D milled pocket clips that WE typically does!!! The pocket clip is not flexible at all, but in reality it's actually bendable in a bad way. Also, the tip of the clip is triangle shaped with one of the edges of that triangle touching the scale. These issues cause the pocket clip to be really stiff causing it to be a real pain in the ass to clip onto and take off of your pants pocket. The pocket clip can also be easily bent up out of shape, and since the pocket clip screws go through the inside of the scale and mount to the underside of the clip you have to disassemble the Angst in order to access the screws to take off the pocket clip!!! For the love of God, WE Knives really needs to stop using these shitty 3D milled pocket clips!!!

Yes it would. I live behind enemy lines in Western New York. (Buffalo/Rochester area) Have done that to a couple of my fixed blades so I could carry them. It sucks, but that's New York.

You guys should really stop with this who is copying who thing. I get the feeling that if the knife is from USA you will defend it´s similarities with other knifes, but if it´s from China you are REALLY looking for similarities and naming them copying and almost stealing. Knives as been around for 10000 years and the basic design is pretty much fixed by now. So you can take ANY knife and find similarities with other knifes. As long as no patents are violated anything goes in design nowadays, just take a look at cars.... Your´re having a great channel here ( the only knife channel i´m subing) but this "maker r*cism" you are showing is getting old quickly for me. Please think about it because i love what you are doing! ( Even have a platonic crush on Super charmer Frankie).
