Putting camo make-up to raid a building? Huh?! In the beginning, the guy's putting camo on his face to raid the apartment of a guy who can't see for shit. All kidding aside, that cop needs a psych exam. He shouldn't be armed. He's delusional about his work.
This appears to be 4608 4th Ave South. The neighborhood has changed a bit in the past 30 years but the house is still there, property tax records show it was purchased by a Hispanic couple in 2019, I wonder if they have ever seen this episode of cops. Officer Rick Stanek is also in this episode. He later went on to be a Lieutenant, crime scene unit, he successfully ran for MN congress where he served 3 terms. He was appointed Commissioner of Public Safety by Governor Pawlenty, then was elected as Hennepin County Sheriff. Most recently he entered the race for Governor in the last election but didn't get the nomination.
Omg I'm from MN and their accents are strong. Between the camo/facepaint, that one guy standing in the office in a tank top and shorts being useless, Sgt. Henny, the neogotiation. We got it all, baby.
@@classiccops Thanks for uploading this episode! I am working on archiving the show but I am missing a few episodes. Would you be interested in helping out?
@@STAYWOKE000 I remember the whole town was out for a week or a weekend, looking for them, it was all over fox51 news. I've always wondered if they caught corruption on camera, or maybe didn't get enough juice to put the episode out? Or maybe it was deeper, and the state decided to opt out of the episode, to not taint the states image of being "vacation land". But they 100% were there filming a couple episodes. I'm extremely happy you remember this too!
He went to the hospital after being arrested so the doctors obviously determined he was of sound mind. He was then given a bail amount and paid said bail, allowing him to prepare for his legal defense out of custody. Instead, you want him to just be put in a asylum and waste time. The charges don't go anywhere and as soon as release from the mental hospital, he'd be right back at square 1, everyone's time and money wasted...
They weren't doing that really. This was just for tv. I've lived in MPLS my entire life, I've never seen them dressed like that. That definitely would have been on the news.
They really let him get bailed out the next day? Should have had him evaluated for mental problems I think they can hold you for like 3 days or something like that.. he clearly needs some kind of help
9:39 fast forward to 2023 and there’s no such thing as fresh women lol girls are on a whole other level these days! Showing their kitties on only fans for less than a big Mac lol
Grew up in north Minneapolis as a kid this brings back great memories
The head bandanas, the face paint…this is it. This is peak ‘90s cops. 😂
😅😅😅😂😂
Forest camo in an urban setting.. these dudes are more LARPers than they are LEOs. lol
They look like they're ready for Vietnam in the middle of Minneapolis
It may not do him any good in hiding, but it may help him get into the mindset. Don't complain about "free" military training.
Same thing these days. Minneapolis and almost every other major American city has become like Vietnam.

I remember when Stanek was sheriff it wasn't thatclomg ago. And yup 46th and 4th isn't too bad nowadays but you get down to 40th and it gets sketchy.
Oh charged and then released back into the public sector to have another episode.!!!, Excellant work guys.!!!

So jungle camo is supposed to help you blend in with your urban surroundings of grey pavement and white police cars, these cops are a joke!
"trusting a cop would be like trusting Dillinger for banks" 😂
It was a damned nice city once. I grew up there in the '60s. You could not pay me to go back! I miss those days!
lol nice face-paint.
What a mess, that old man was messed up.
Wow! Lucky you! Will you be able to find more rare Cops episodes from 1990?!

You'll be my hero if you find the elusive Portland Maine episodes.
Been looking for 15+ years now.
Thanks for the uploads
I don't think Cops have ever filmed in Portland, Maine.
@@copstvfan they did I remember seeing that episode
@@STAYWOKE000 I've already googled it. No relevant hits on google for Maine.
@copsTvFan Most likely they didn't do any Maine wish they would have

awesome episode. thank you
I sure do hope he found some peace in what time he had left to live. Yeah. I truly do.
Do they really do sound like central casting from "Fargo"
I want to see more Cops
20:15 "Gas masks, GAS MASKS!! The men on Horn Island had gas masks!"
Let's how many of you will get that reference.. 🤔
Camo bandana definitely better than a ballistic helmet
The man should have been committed to a psychiatric facility until trial instead of being allowed to bail out.

the officer @ 9:39 looks like Steve McQueen when he smiles
Serious imitation tactical overkill....
WOW¿!....
12:40 I would hate to be that delivery driver I hope he got a good tip lol
The black face paint is a little too much
Before the Minnesota killings 😅
