how clean to bonding surfaces have to be, Thinking blocks that were sitting in the dirt then you decide to build with them , and making an arch on a retaining wall how much of a curve can you make with 16" cinder blocks .
PS. Maybe it's past the time when you're answering questions but I'll put one out there anyway. Aren't the cuts in the concrete to allow for possible future movement? If so, why have the pillars straddling the cut... if there's differential movement under the pillar won't the pillar come unstuck from at least one half the the underside of the pillar? If you get my drift.
That’s what was there. I had extra block under the porch in that area, everything was tamped properly. I pinned each side and filled with concrete. I took every precaution I could to make sure it won’t move. We will see
Great instruction and on-screen presence.
Thanks!
Nice work! I had an old Boss that used to say Mason's don't do sixteenths! Have a great holiday Weekend
Could you replace a wood wall by a block or brick wall?
If I wanted to install block pillars on top of a 4 in concrete slab, do I need to cut concrete in order to pour proper footing?
Great content!

Is there a limit to how high (how many blocks) you can stack while the morder is wet?
