Thanks for the video. I’m gonna be honest. I was a bit skeptical of studio at first, but after painstakingly downloading all the assets one by one, I’m loving it (you should let us download all of them or at least entire collections if possible). One thing I didn’t quite clock before is that these materials are using the new node system, which previews much more nicely in C4D. That’s massive, but I hadn’t seen that anywhere else, you should definitely advertise it more. It’d be cool If i could install signal and such without HUB, but I’ll be patient :) Anyway, great job, you’re stuff is honestly amazing.
Thanks for the feedback! Studio is designed so you don't have to download it all at once. This way you save hard drive space and only download what you need when you need it. Glad you like the nodes. Please let us know any more feedback you have for Studio as you use it.
Does this completely replace the 'old' HDRI Link workflow then? I'm getting a new replacement SSD tomorrow for my primary workstation, and had thought that now was the time to start using GSG Studio rather than the library inside C4D now that I have to start over with a clean disk anyway, and it's honestly nice not having to fill up valuable diskspace by having to download entire collections.
Thanks for the question. For me it has replaced HDRI Link. The drag and drop or copy paste functionality works fast enough to try a new HDRI at any time. Let me know how you like Studio after the switch!
Ok, but what about the other plugins like Signal or Drop Zone? Will it install along with Studio, or is it another download? P.s. it's sad that I won't be able to integrate it as a panel/tab inside C4D like in the old days to have everything in one place :(((
I have this, but sadly Studio only focuses on setting up materials in Redshift or Karma for Houdini, any chance of having this work for Octane as well?
Thanks for the question. We are always looking at what our customers are using. Octane is not yet supported in Houdini, but it is on our radar for future support. Thanks for letting us know.
I like it. BUT , I deleted all my HUB stuff totally. Only to find some materials and other stuff not available in Studio. Had to spend time re-downloading HUB. Really passed me off. Bit of a GSG mistep. Should have had a heads up not to delete all of HUB before. Maybe just me but. . . . .
Having to download every asset manually without an option to download an entire collection is really annoying and time consuming. The Plus Library plugin was way easier in navigating and finding assets as well.
Thanks for the feedback, Martin. What do you like about how the plus library navigates? We have been loving how fast Studio has been for search but I’d love to hear your experience.
@@Greyscalegorilla I loved the tabs of the categories in which I was able to open them by a single mouse click. Also the list mode was nice. Now I have to click more or have to search manually. It somehow was more convenient for me before. I do like the fresh new UI though. I would love to be able to download an entire collection without the need to go into that collection and then manually click everything. Also, kudos for fixing the network drive functionality and having all materials set up via the new shader editor now! Love how the lag is completely gone now and it responds so fast!

@@Greyscalegorilla Thanks for answering!
Looks great, I'll give it a try for sure🎉
Awesome. Let us know what you think! We have been using it every day.
@Greyscalegorilla I will try it next days and I will give you a feedback!👍
I guess no more premade studio setups with lights ?

Signal and Dropzone are still installed through the HUB just like before.
I feel, the same as you, I use dropzone etc. so no, point in installing Studio alongside the HUB, unless I'm missing something?
Good morning!

I hope that one day it can integrate plugin installation functionality, so that I can give up Greyscalegorilla HUB.
Thanks for the comment. For now, all of the other Cinema 4D plugins and scripts must be installed though the HUB.
Bring this to 3ds max please
