@@QTSS thanks :) yes. I have seen the other faster run. but I prefer this one because it's slower so I get to reminisce on the scenery and places in it better :)
Ah don't worry about it :D It's always fun to see someone else who haven't played the game before wnader around :D It's actually has been how some of the skips has been found ;) If you think this is nice, just wait a bit, sub 40 is coming for sure ;)
Catacombs lantern skip is genius! And silver bullets, too ofc. Bettany witches rect me soo much :D it's soo cool, that now I can simply shoot that bit**es :D
With the door skip you skip picking up the silver bullets, so unfortunately not :(. There’s a new method of skipping the catacombs-pantern area, I hope to do a new video soon :)
Indeed, they can really ruin a run as they can 100 to 0 you with a single shot (I persume headshot). But I also messed up the run by running the wrong way and just randomly dying so there's room for improvement :)
Nice run! I was considering messing around with silver bullets and other weapons but never got to it, but was not expecting them to be able to improve boss kill times that much, very nice find! I am curious what "SelectTime=" you use? I never found mashing to be even remotely consistent but maybe with a lower SelectTime it could be. Tho the "workforce npc" and Aaron cutscene skips have the skip window as big as the SelectTime you set, so I always prefer to have a decent sized window and to time those skips consistent. Also another small thing I found after my runs, If you don't get the lighthouse skip and after grabbing the key, you can jump out the window in that room, saving a small bit of time.
I think I used SelectTime = 0.03 for the run. Mashing isn't consistent at all unfortunately, but I'd rather let Jesus take the wheel and either it works or it doesn't lol. Not sure what the "workforce NPC" is, is that the one when you return from Lizbeth? (The gardener that gets shot by the pirates). The Aaron one after killing Keisinger? Or after returning from Bethany's Cottage? >/.../ after grabbing the key, you can jump out the window in that room There's actually a window in that room? I'll go check it out now lol. EDIT: Yeah, you can just save+load and then jump through it, nice find! There's another interesting interaction with the intro skip + the lighthouse skip. If you have a SelectTime = 0 you'll ALWAYS skip both of the cutscenes. Not sure why, I tried it on the majority of other cutscenes as well but as far as I remember they didn't work. If you could find a way to set the attack wheel to whatever SelectTime you'd use to "normally" skip the cutscenes and then have the spell wheel set to 0 then you'd always be guaranteed to skip those. (I guess it's irrelevant to to have the guarantee of skipping the first cutscene as it's mandatory for the run to skip it regardless, but the lighthouse skip is for sure a great way to save time.
@@QTSS By "workforce NPC" I mean all the workers that come run up to you to talk, but in short it is all the cutscenes where you regain camera control in. Tho with SelectTime=0.03 that makes minimal difference. I use SelectTime=0.1 so that gives a decent window to time the skips. I knew about the SelectTime=0 interactions but yeah, can't find any way to use it. Was thinking maybe you can bind a key to change it but don't seem to work. But there are some weirdness with the skips, I was talking to anther guy about it. And they where able to skip the hallway cutscene (before dispel) without picking up the amplifier first. Something I have never been able to do.

I've never been able to skip the cutscene in that manner either. You can "skip" it (you still have to watch all the doors close) but you'll actually soft-lock the game as you appear outside of the room and you can't actually open the door, thus you're unable to proceed forward.

I already have actually, by a mere 6 seconds. (48:23) but I've no plans to upload that run, nor do I've any plans to upload any run as long as I continue to get times above 48 minutes. In all honesty I've only done a few runs past 20 minutes due to lack of time. But I'll probably do some more WR attempts once I got more time on my hands. I also got 48:18 but I unfortunately forgot to record that attempt (which was done before I uploaded this, bummer). Thanks for watching :)
@@Tt-yr9ri You only need to turn the one that was turned in the video. The other one isn’t a requirement to open the door, it’s only used to make the player understand that you’ll need to find another way around and open the second wheel to access to area above.
OK i see your run its amazing, but let me give u one hint that i discovered that will save you 15-20 min of game or your speedun at least: ok when u reach monk world with boat, there is opening in rock up-right, its on your 8.28 or 8.38 moment, that is the same opening you use to exit when you defeat elisabeth, so if u load/save and jump to reach it, it will trigger that moment and game will think i defeated elisabeth and return to castle again try it again with that shortcut u will save ton of time and thank me :)
I do know about this, meanwhile you do indeed save a good chunk of time, you’ll have soft-locked the game as you won’t retrive the Scythe from the Monk World. Since you don’t have the Scythe, you won’t be able to kill Ambrose (or any of the other bosses). So it doesn’t work I’m afraid :( Thanks for the tip though!
