I know it's band aid-ish, but I feel like a way to start balancing SWF is to enforce "tournament rules" on them. Meaning, they can't queue up if their loadouts do not conform to a standard, and disallow loadout changes after queueing up. I.e. no repeated perks, no more than one item of the same kind per group, etc. They already go through 2 queues: the lobby they group together, and the actual queue with the killer. It's not like they only have the 60 seconds on the killer lobby to prepare as solos do, so I see no issue in forcing them to commit to a loadout beforehand.
That’s maybe some sort of resolving swf issue, but it will be impossible to balance this for all players. Swf not only win thousands times in a row, I am playing sometimes with my friends, all of us are on the different skill level, we ve got a complitely newbie in our party, btw pretty often some of us just get bored to play 1 optimal build and we trying any fun build, so our winrate is about 30%, maybe even less, and its totally fine, we difinetely not at top level, not even near, but my point is why should there be any additional rules for swf restricting perks or addons? We loose more than win, so you suggest to punish us even more? In game ranks could be potentially an additional condition, for example, tournament rules applied only on rank 1 survs, but we all know that current 1 rank doesnt mean anything at all. Even with such bad winrate as ours almost all of my party reach rank 1 every time. So the only option left is to use hidden rank for every player to decide whether apply restrictions or not, but what if half of a party is on “competitive level”? What if 3man of 1man? Even if 4man squad is on top mmr, players not only play to do their best to win. They are the same people who could try some fun non meta builds or arrange some sort of play for curtain perk value, ex. pick themselves up 20 times messing around boon etc. Should they be restricted anyway in this case? I believe no. The half of all the fun in this game is to be able to play with your friends and it shouldn’t be restricted. But your idea can take place in my opinion if it will be some sort of switch where team can toggle on/off “competitive mode” and if they want to test themselves in it so they can. And idk maybe make some sort of separate ingame team rank for this to motivate people to play it
The game is balanced for solo q (unless nurse or blight). Four man SWF is super unbalanced (unless nurse or blight). That is the issue. You would have to introduce some sort of nerf to a group but idk how you would do that or if it would drive away a massive part of the player base.

Then in a next step you could buff certain killers, and/or nerf on the survivor-side to get the game in a more balanced direction. The devs seem to be hesitant in buffs/nerfs because they have to constantly have in mind that they need to balance for two different versions of the game.
Ye swf are pretty broken no debate about that, but that attack at 1:51 was true's fault like there was no reason to hit so prematurely. Meg was not near a pallet and if she vaulted she gets downed that really costed his early game very hard.

Unbreakable on the horizon and people are wanting kindred next. The bias is so readily apparent. I legit only play for archives nowadays after that I drop the game hard it is that unenjoyable on killer side and incredibly boring on survivor side.
Proximity mic would fix it. Game can force players out of private parties. Let’s start giving killers base kit shit too. This is why I installed this game. It’s a joke
I've had plenty of games where we played like SWF but I solo cued. We just know what we're doing especially when basically everyone can run. Just means you should bring better perks to slow survivors down or you'll keep getting schooled regardless. Monto never had that problem when he was playing consistently

Monto slowed down a year and a half ago for personal reasons. Major car accident, psychological reasons, etc. Nothing having to do with the game. The game have been buffing killers for the last 3 years which forced mediocre survivors to only play SWF. I mean come on dude... they took the distance maker dead hard
There are games where your team is well coordinated, but that usally shows when a hooked person has Kindred. There you can see how good your team is. But the plays these guys did...Double flashlights save attempts, double hook blooking, flashlight blind into a rescue, body blocking at the perfect moment. Such a coordination isnt gonna happen is solo...ever. As for the perks...he is using argueably the best avaliable perks you can have. What better perks would you use? The play when he got the 1st kill he got 3x8% regression on the upstair gen(Jolt) and soon after another 15% gen regression and he still wasnt able to stop it. 39% gen regression in about 30sec. Enlighten me what better perks are there, when every decent perk is getting nerfed with each damn patch.
