Ok as an OKC resident, we voted on the new arena over a year ago and it passed EASILY. Yes, it was a major determining factor for the ownership to stay long term and the arena would lock them into staying here through the 2049-2050 season. So the city spoke and said we are going to do what it takes (looking at you Seattle) to make sure we have no reason for the team to potentially relocate
The only problem with their conspiracy about the NBA being in cahoots with OKC for a new arena or raising stocks to sell the team IS that the team is already getting a billion dollar arena that was passed last year. and the expectations last year were simply making the playoffs. I hate the idea that the NBA would give my team that kin of favor considering OKC might be the smallest market but has consistently been a top 15 to top 5 attendance and revenue efficiency in the league since its arrival to OKC in 2008.. I think the rest of the league is shocked because it feels like OKC has suddenly arrived but if you followed my team long enough, you would know that we been having flashes for a solid two years now. Also Presti is a top 5 GM in the league.;
People think that the thunder get away with things??? Hell nah we get called for so much other teams don’t! Tatum fell on his own twice and we got called fouls on both
Dude. To the people complaining about physicality. Its physical out west dudes. More rough and tumble teams. More completion. Leads to it. Out east it may be a bit softer. Also you sound real lame arguing for less physicality when that's what everyone was saying was wrong with the league. They play defense and physical.
For real I don’t get people whining about this either. View ship is down cause of the 3 point epidemic and because of no defense and now when there’s a team that’s doing all the things people want to see, they start whining about that too!?
I feel like viewership is down for a number of reasons. I know a lot of people who have troubles just trying to find a way to watch a game 🤷♂️ I blame internet lol Thunder Up ⛈️💙

First the thunder already passed a tax to build a new arena lol

Also OKC is paying for the arena! Lmao not the team lol. The team is contributing a fairly small amount of the total cost.

@@scottpaddlety8741 that too! Can’t believe this Celtics vs. thunder game was broadcast mid day on NFL Sunday on NBA TV 🤦
The Thunder don’t make dumb moves man
Exactly so all of fantasy basketball players can stop with the dumb trade ideas
Presti for President 👍😆⛈️💙
The nba required a bigger arena. And a new arena is under construction for okc
I think the NBA is open this year. I’m a diehard OKC fan, but haven’t seen them play well in the playoffs yet.
?? We played well in the playoffs last season we just lost against a better team at the time
@ What I watched was SGA played great but JDub and Chet both struggled. Definitely seemed the moment was too big for them last year
