I dont think Judge has the same tenacity and drive Soto has.... I think the moment affects Judge come high stress playoff time... thus far...Soto has better pitch recognition and confidence ... Once Judge swings at a ball and looks at a strike he is in trouble.
Bottom line, the Yankees starters particularly Cole and Rodon who are paid an enormous amount of money need to step up and go 7 plus innings. Stop depending so much on the bullpen to give you 5 plus innings every game. Starters need to step up.
The Dodge BP has been great so far. But they weren't as highly regarded a month ago. Throw in the fact they'll have to go with a BP game at least once possibly twice it evens them out. They didn't have a set closer all year let alone a Clase type one which Yanks have always buried.
I see a lot of similarities between these yanks and the 2009 yanks. Rodon is Burnett. Cole is CC. Stanton is matsui. Arod is judge. Volpe is (aged) Jeter. Weaver is (aged) Mariano.

The Mets don't need him, they need pitching and Cohen is not a fool to spend 1/2 billion on one player as even if they had Soto on this years team he wouldn't have made them get into the World Series. The only team left are the Dodgers and that is the team that would have the best chance to sign him but then again, his family lives in NY. That matters!
Cleveland had the best Bullpen in MLB and the Yankees hit them I'm tired of hearing about who the Yankees played
