In this video I show you how I created this abstract painting on 4 canvases with powerful, vivid and bright colors.
The complete format measures 160x60cm.
This painting is made mainly with spray paint but I used acrylic paint and brushes for the background.
I also used stencils to create patterns and masking tape to keep white areas in my painting.
For the black lines at the end, I used acrylic paint.
I really hope you enjoyed this painting and that it will motivate you and make you want to paint ;)

Great work. The piece s, before you remove the masking tape look very nice. I prefer you paint without the white frames. It is already a masterpiece before removing the tape. Hope you can do one without the white frames.

Always fascinating and inspiring watching another Artist attend their craft.
One always learns and it is also great being on their journey of process too.
I liked the final piece but enjoyed the process more which for me is an incredible art in its own right.
It’s always knowing when to stop and for me personally, once I’d took off the final thick masking, that may of been it for me or I would of waited for a while until I potentially made the next mark or two.

Oh how I love this masterpiece... I think, of all the videos of yours that I've watched (there are many), this is my favorite. I love the vibrancy, the negative space with the wide boarders, texture and layers of paint. Thank you John for an outstanding piece of art!!
I agree I’ve probably watched almost all of his videos, & this one in particular is by far my absolute FAVORITE & I think that’s bc of all the colors he used are my all time favorite colors. Oh I love this one so much.

I just have one small question.
Which is the tape that you use in your painting.
I have tried various types of tapes which we get here in India...but all seem to get wet while some paint is spread on them.
Can you please help us with the name or the type of tape that you use

What kind of tape are you using? I use the blue painters tape but always get paint underneath no matter what! It’s so frustrating!!!

I have been watching very intently for about a month and noticed you rarely use green. Why is that? I know green is very hard to work with but I love the color. Could you make a few paintings with a large amount of green, please?
I'm not too fond of green in paintings, which is why I replace it with turquoise.
