I like these walks and talks. You two are great. Its beautiful there, and it's nice to see how alike we all are. It helps to keep motivated in fighting for what's right over here in the US. Thanks for the morning smiles. ❤
Just arrived back from our early evening dog walk. Very cold, overcast with the promise of more snow. 👍 Tariffs; a tax on stupid people. MAGA folks dig deep. 😁
Biggest problem is gas and electricity in the NE U.S. this winter. Also, a lot of U.S. crude can't be quickly refined. Many refineries were set up for Canadian oil.
Given most lumber in the US is sourced in Canada and the dire need for it to rebuild houses “toasted” in California and other places I can see this being fun. I though Brexit was bad, this is a whole new level of foot marksmanship
Bro, , I panicked shopped for lumber yesterday,. A good Samaritan helped me load my truck. Turned out he was a trumper and he told me a joke about throwing away a perfectly good N word. Like WTF. The mask is off
The US produces a lot of shale oil but does not have the processing to convert it, so exports to Canada where they do, it then imports the processed products from Canada, so Trump's puts tariffs on Canadian imports will cause a massive increase in the cost of petroleum products in the US.
@@matthewn1805Best part is that the USA doesn’t have enough customs agents to handle the extra paperwork 😂🎉 US borders will hammered 🤣 My better half thinks I’ve gone mad becauseI have been laughing 🤣 since the announcement 😂 This will be so entertaining 🎉
P2025 is forcing American people to buy American products but it doesn't work for those who export products because they will lose too. It is a hot mess. You can make better grocery choices and watch sales for those products you need.
🐢 That's probably one reason the farmers voted for TP again this time around: they got bailed out with the money from the tariffs, aka. the US taxpayers money.
Personally i don't see a scenario this is gonna be beneficial for the american customer. Even if the tariffs will lead to an increase of "Made in America" products in the long run, americans still stuck with subpar products (no exaggeration) that are sometimes even harmful - by design. But this time without an alternative, except you can/want to pay premium. What is the freaking deal here?
When I lived in USA I only bought shoes made in USA- Allen Edmonds for casual and dress shoes and new balance 993 for sneakers. Most in USA can’t pay those prices for made in USA. There are many products made in USA- they just cost a lot more. When it comes to electronics, no company will open up a factory to make consumer grade electronics in USA. It’s just not profitable, given what they would have to charge. Even cars assembled in USA are only around 50% USA parts and the average vehicle in USA is now nearly 50k$.
This is all so overwhelming. Thank you for trying to break this down and make it easier to digest. My biggest question is, can I come live with you guys? 😅
A simple explanation of what tariffs will mean to the US consumer the most uneducated of people will understand. 1 You buy goods from the outside of the US because you either cannot produce or manufactures them in the US or because its cheaper to buy and even politically important to buy from outside the US. So some goods you now buy will either become more expensive or disappear from the shelves. And no, buying US made will not make products cheaper, in fact it will make them more expensive, because you were buying them from abroad because it was cheaper, and because companies in the US will produce more expensively or not be able to produce at all, and without competition, you will find, like the former Soviets found, there is no incentive to produce more or better. 2 Other countries will apply tariffs back or stop buying or selling from or to the US, they will sell to where it is more profitable for them to sell, so if you apply tariffs to EU products, those EU products will go else where, some to Canada, China, Mexico, South America, and then you can buy them from those places. US products will face equal or more harsh tariffs from other countries, and if you are naïve enough to think the president will growl and other countries will buy you are more of an idiot than I believed you to be. Bottom line, you will pay for your tariffs every day, in energy, raw materials, consumer goods, food products, and even things like travelling and studying abroad, and you will not be able to attract competent teachers and researchers and your teaching facilities and business will suffer direly. 3 The countries and blocks competing indirectly with the US, like South American countries, the EU, Japan or Korea for example, will actively compete against the US, even Canada and Mexico will do it, and you will gain a fresh set of competitors gnawing at your business and eroding your position. And active countries competing against you like China will take advantage of all this and sweep up the trade from Europe, for example, they have been so desperate to get, and to extent their commercial and political ties more and more widely. 4 Political and economic leverage of the US will be minor each day it passes, and leaving the international agreements and institutions means US business and regulations will not be recognized internationally, it will mean the US will not have a voice in deciding nothing, and it means that in the long run the US will lose ALL influence over the world, starting with Europe (it was already happening in Biden's time and he was carefully creating alliances to prepare for it the current president is actively destroying) and ending even in its neighbouring countries and the so call "third world". This what tariffs and other niceties like these real means to the US, and no one is telling you this or you just do not want to listen to it. Enjoy.
🇨🇦 The Canadian dollar is now worth .69 cents US . I’m retired and have fairly good pensions but idiot Trump wants to destroy the Canadian economy. I’m googling and searching UA-cam for another country to live in. Somewhere safe and mellow lifestyle. When a country with 340 million say they want to destroy a country with 40 million Canada doesn’t stand much of a chance. I’ll be able to avoid Canadian winters and just travel around in eternal summer. I still have many questions, do I sell the house and buy a boat. Do I fly where I want to go and rent ? Whatever. I’m not going to stay here and wait for a bully to destroy our economy and our dollar. I have little confidence in our government.
I would highly suggest Prague, for the Bohemian lifestyle. No religious wackados- most atheist country, best beer in the world, best duck in the world, amazing buildings and architecture, very low crime...
Trump is a narcissist and he's clueless 😂😂😂
I did not vote for this insanity. I actually have been warning folks for a decade. Now I'm doomed to watch and be dragged down with ignorant zelots.

Here is the result of the IQ match between Trump supporters and Brexit supporters. A game without chances or hope resulting in a 0-0 draw.

Go to any store in USA and try to buy only made in USA. Many products just aren’t made in USA.

Getting the popcorn ready.... Americans are in for some dire dire straits....
@marcvanbets2370 as a disabled Californian, I really wish other countries would give people like me asylum. We're gonna die here. 😞
Tragically so, “ be careful what you wish for , you might get it!🥴”
