You guys are an absolute joy, love watching your adventures if only I were your age again I’d do it all differently let me tell you…50 years old in a scabby room in Nigeria in the middle of an oil refinery. Love your channel ❤
Just a wee thing. St Andrews Cathedral in Glasgow isn't medieval. It was built in the 19th Century. The medieval Glasgow Cathedral, which is also known as St Mungo's High Kirk, is the one at the top of Glasgow's High Street. That's the one that was built at the shrine of St Mungo. It's also just over a mile away from St Andrews Cathedral. The castle you camped at was Bothwell Castle.
@@LostInTransit It's probably an easy mistake to make, if you don't know the city. In Glasgow, there are three official cathedrals, and one unofficial cathedral. The one that everyone calls Glasgow Cathedral is the unoffical one, as there aren't cathedrals in the Kirk of Scotland. Glasgow Cathedral is now part of the Kirk of Scotland, but was originally Catholic. If you're ever in Glasgow again, give me a shout, and I can show you that one.
Hi both, lovely to see Iz back on the road and you brought Tom’s boots, well done. Once you cleared Glasgow the scenery is nice, not the rugged mountains of the Highlands but the Southern Uplands are beautiful as well in their own way. I’m enjoying your videos as always. My new Trail Shoes have just arrived and they seem very comfortable, I was lucky with size, I’ll let you know how I get on with them, Cheers Mike 🍷
Great to see you showing off the beauty of The Clyde Valley. Home of the beautiful Clydesdale Horse - bred in this area and serving farming worldwide throughout the 18 hundreds.
Hi Izzy & Tom, This is so lovely to come across! Izzy We met at FH briefly……. I didn’t last long…You sound so Cornish 😂 in Glasgow! Wishing you well on your adventures, 💗 from Glasgow.

The John Buchan Way is named after the author of one of my favourite books/ films - The Thirty Nine Steps. John had a strong association with Peebles. Great to Izzy on the trail. New hair style? Looks good. Tom, you didn't lose your stick, Gandalf nicked it during the night😂. Really enjoying your trip guys. Tom, are you in Cumbria soon?
Tom, how do you cope with going from solitary walking day after day in the vast scottish wilderness to suddenly having two happily chattering companions? It must be a slightly weird transition. You all look happy though and had a glimpse of the sun. August isn’t usually THAT rainy in the highlands, just an odd year there like in so many other places. I’ve been staying with Becca&David in Norway for the last couple of weeks and they had to pump their cellar out after many days of rain followed by a particularly heavy night of rain. 🤷🏼♀️
Hi Tom and Iz, loving your videos, think I've watched every one you done. So so impressed Tom, you are some man. I live in the borders, Eaglesfield, D&G, and I know you will be coming through this way. Would love to meet you both in person, please let me know when you will be passing. Andy K.
