Post partum isn't just the first few days after birth 😂 It spans over the first few weeks/months/even first year. For months and months our bodies and mind continues adapting/healing.. The hairfall, postpartum depression , pelvic floor issues can strike anytime. It doesn't happen to everyone but it is more common that we'd like to believe and it's not the end of the world either. We need to talk about it more openly and normalise it. It's not something to fear, instead we can empower and support each other through it. ❤
Congratulations to you both. You look blissed out. But please be careful about what you put out there in terms of setting expectations. Hair loss post partum sets in 3-4 months after birth not immediately. Also, post partum depression doesn’t have to be an immediate phenomenon. The placenta pills are not evidence based at all and infact recommended against by AAP. So please put a disclaimer out there that this is strictly a personal choice you guys made and not a standard thing to do. You have many young followers who can be wrongly influenced. All the best with your new family!
Yes. I can feel. I am in CA, USA. I have a toddler and an infant. And I can say how the hospital staff took care of me and baby was indescribable. We got wonderful people. They taught everything aniut taking care of baby and mom. ❤❤❤❤ so much love to you guys❤❤❤ congrats again.

God is great! I had my baby in January and laboured in the hospital, bouncing on a ball with mild to moderate pain/contractions. I also had no pain meds until my waters broke (at 7 cms)! I had such an amazing experience with the best team but You’re so strong Alanna, to labour at home. Congratulations again guys! ❤❤❤
This couple is super cute! Alanna's USP is her family of uncle aunts cousins that is pretty close in today's time. Ivor is the real deal. He is a true good American boy who enjoys cooking, building things up doing all the heavy lifting, no ego no expectation like Indian boys and girls that some house help will do it for him. H respects her, backs her and treats her like his Queen. Back in the days how much a boy can work and be hands on and his gentle nature were treated as signs of true character. She brings the warm Indian wifey vibes. Everybody keeps mentioning she is from rich family. Its not the money. Its the character that keeps two people together in life. I love them.And so happy that now a baby has arrived.

A small information.. People don't actually loose hair instantly after birth.. Instead you can feel your hair to be more voluminous instantly after the birth.. However severe hairfall starts happening when your baby is around 4 months

For me pp hairloss started around 4-5month after birth… and pp hit hard around that time. Sleep deprivation at newborn stage is nothing compared to sleep regression that follows 😂 anyway big congratulations to your family❤
i was in same energetic condition and suddenly 2 weeks before my due date at 10 pm my water broke...and next morning at 4:30am , I delivered my baby boy through normal delivery ❤
Hair loss usually happens a few months after birth and post partum depression can happen any time in the first year of baby (maybe even later than that).
Congratulations guys but just wanted to clarify the placenta part - there is no proven scientific evidence to it! It does help with recovery a bit but post partum isn’t dependent on it any way. Every pregnancy is different on its own and it is amazing that you didn’t feel anything negative post that! Wishing you the best!!!

New mom here, so here's a few things, women start loosing hair around the 5 th month but if we take care and take essential vitamins it's manageable. I'm not sure about postpartum depression but yes I had a very easy labour physically but a very difficult one mentally cos my husband wasn't really there throughout the four months leading to the due date. I am not sure about the term for it but yes we don't feel ourselves for a month or two after birth . Maybe that's because of less sleep.
Congrats on a new phase of your life together. It was a treat to watch videos on courtship to marriage and new house experiences. Raising a child is a very serious issue as it involves another person. Some people prefer privacy and its an individual thing. I hope the child is provided the choice between need for privacy and his life displayed for others entertainment.
Totally relatable... didn't take placenta pills .. LOL didn't even know it was a thing but I also didn't loose a lot of hair in postpartum, I was actually happier and no post partum depression compared to severe prenatal depression. Your story is lovely ❤

Hair fall happens after 4-6 months of childbirth. When all the hormones leave. I think that’s the most difficult part of postpartum.
I wish such good postpartum care was readily available in India
