Dean, I had to go through 3 Mx5's To find the ONE! (all Bought on Ebay). I loved the first one, but didn't know about the Sound Glitch. Then, I traded it back in for a second one (which had the same prob). Traded that one back in, and 3rd time was a charm. *Works Perfectly. I just loved the Machine so much, I couldn't swap Makes (like a Garrett). I've found a lot of Gold rings, and silver with this baby. I have a Vid's up, showing what I've found.
I just got an awesome deal on a used DFX. Its a perfect big brother to my MX5. The DFX is very program rich and a challenge to learn, but it finds th goods. I just pulled a silver 5 cent Canadian Queen Victoria coin this evening using it. Also an early 1900s brooch pin. The 2 machines use the same eclipse coil series.
Hello! Would you rather have and use the tesoro vaquero or mx 5? Thanks
very impressive on 9 and 10" dimes with small coil.
I wonder what Keith would rate the mx5 as an all around machine on a 1-10 scale?
Didn't these have a audio glitch?
yes they did... mine was bad..
that was mx sport. my mx5 is fine with everything.
will be discontinued soon
It's probably giving too much competition to the MX Sport. I wouldn't touch an mx sport after all the glitches and high price tag. I love my mx5.

Agree! The MX5 is one nice machine and very underrated. Got rid of the MX S and kept the MX 5.
