I was helpless it was urgent to wear a dhoti trape saree but nobody was there to help me and I thought it will be really hard to wear a saree like this but your video helped me a lot
So what do you do when u go pee and take it off. U not going to have an iron table to even be able to redo this in the bathroom especially if ur not home…
Hello Tia, I never wear a saree yet (even I’ve got one in my wardrobe), because I never knew how to wear it (I’m French). So thank you so much with your videos, it’s help a lot to understand.
I really like the way you address the audience. You're not trying hard or going over the top to impress. Your calm and composed approach and natural speaking style make it so easy to learn and enjoy the content, like a friend were demonstrating at home. The clean background also adds to the aesthetics. Loved the video, and thanks for teaching this technique so beautifully. :)
Thanks for this video! I have a question....we all know how to maneuver a sari to use the washroom. But for the dhoti drape would we need to undrape and redo afterwards???? Anyone have experience??
I was wondering what this drape was called because I see it a lot in dance videos! Thank you for sharing, explaining, and for treating us to that gorgeous sari fabric! 😍
@@TiaBhuva I am on all social media networks as Trisha Ramsaroop or T.Rzee. where can I send you a picture? I think the best part was I didn't need pins to keep the pleats from opening.
I think if you didn't have pants below, you'd be able to just squat and pull the fabric to the sides. Not sure how easy it would be with a toilet though
Thank you so much.. Great tutorial. I've always wanted to learn dhoti style drape. definitely be trying it out. My question also about when you have to use the bathroom?
Its beautiful and awesome but how do we go to the bathroom? Like how to remove to do number 1 etc? Sry for being very straightforward but really wonder
Sushmita: I have a 'dhoti-pants' Is there a way to drape a sari around it (perhaps just a few meters instead of the whole sari) There has to be a way... please help 🙏
How is this for sitting on a temple floor if it’s open in the center? Obviously pants would be ideal in this case but are there any special considerations for sitting with any of the saree styles you feature? TIA
Or you can check how dhotis are worn Like there is another step after knotting, in which you pick the portion of the saree that is behind your legs, pull it upwards while stretching your legs on both sides to make it comfortable like how much length would be necessary and than tuck that part in where the knot is. It will cover the crotch portion of your body. There are different dhoti videos in which they have shown doing that, you can check that out for more clarity
Hey beautiful! You can definitely do the Dhoti drape with lighter weight sarees the way Tia does here with our Marigold Debonair Saree: ua-cam.com/users/shortse3clr6uy1rQ
A foreigner who loves to learn more about saree here... Question: how do you go to the washroom in this style? I know this sounds really dumb, but it's essential for me to know...
Do NOT try this with a thin linen saree because I just did and my undies were on full display, showing through everything 🤣🤣but this is an excellent tutorial and perfect for thicker sarees
WHO drapes a saree on an undie. I mean idk anyone in India who does that. A saree is supposed to go on a petticoat (or leggings if it is nauvari styled). And the petticoat's colour should match the colour of the saree. This ensures that if the saree is thin/transparent, it doesn't look odd.
I was helpless it was urgent to wear a dhoti trape saree but nobody was there to help me and I thought it will be really hard to wear a saree like this but your video helped me a lot
Is this situation to me also just from video I'm calm now

As an Indian who absolutely loves French culture but knows nothing about it, i get you. Also, best of luck on your saare adventures!
This is so beautiful, the way it drapes, but how do you go to the bathroom?
I saw pants were possible but no one said how. I knew it could be done without altering the fabric.Thank you so much, you are an excellent teacher.
Thank you for this video! I used this video to wear the Dhoti style drape in my graduation photoshoot!

Sounds pretty cool! Thanks for watching😊
How is this for sitting on a temple floor if it’s open in the center? Obviously pants would be ideal in this case but are there any special considerations for sitting with any of the saree styles you feature? TIA
You can sit with both your legs on one side, instead of the criss-cross method.
Or you can check how dhotis are worn
Like there is another step after knotting, in which you pick the portion of the saree that is behind your legs, pull it upwards while stretching your legs on both sides to make it comfortable like how much length would be necessary and than tuck that part in where the knot is. It will cover the crotch portion of your body.

Saree is awsome please give link of saree.
What about short heighted people? Can we wear like this?
Hi Anisha,
You can try tying the saree a bit higher on the waist and/or tucking your pleats in deeper in the back. Hope this helps!
@@TiaBhuva ohh understood
