I ran into some computer problems and my projects were partially lost so I'm still getting back up and running. But stay tuned, I have a few videos in the works!
In this video its all regular slow motion. And i'll consider it but youtube and other sites are full of awesome tutorials, thats basically how i learned everything filmmaking
Thanks! What wide angle would you recommend that's preferably under $500? The Rokinon that you use? Or maybe a Sigma or Canon? Yeah I've seen you recommend that tripod before in one of your comments before. Also it great to see that you work with Griff.
Okay so I got a few questions since I want to get into filming and I was hoping you could help. Do you recommend the 18-55mm kit lens for follow runs before I invest in something better? Also what tripod do you use/recommend? And lastly since I can't do follow runs using a car what camera holder should I use, or should I make my own?
So I understand that you shoot your projected slow motion clips in 720p 60 fps. But how do you "upscale" these shots so that they match the rest of the video that you said is shot in 24fps. Ive always shot my videos like this but I end up just rendering them all out in a chosen fps which probably isnt the smoothest and best choice. Thanks homie!
ok thanks, and are youre slow motion are some twixtor but if youre having time you should start an editing how to channel because Im sure that a lot of people are wanting to know how you do youre effects
I wouldn't recommend the 18-55 but obviously if it's all you have for now than use it for follow shots. Just don't get one of those screw on wide angles, they basically decrease the quality and add a ton of vingetting. I use a Davis and Sanford ProvistaGR18, but ive been meaning to upgrade for a while now. Get the Cowboy Studio FC270A. And I'd recommend griffcameraholders(dot)com for follow runs
Good call haha. But I like to scale my 1080p shots to 100.2% and my 720p shots to 150.5% to get rid of the nasty edges you get when sharpening the footage
