I give huge props to the writers for these scenes! I was hoping the moments leading up to Sante's first kiss would be perfect and they couldn't have been better. Dante's words were heartfelt and just so HIM. And Sam turned to him first--that was an important, necessary move for her to make. I have no idea what's next for them but I'm excited to see it!

You already knew my concerns so I was glad things worked out the way they did! And having them fall into the cold water was a GENIUS move. Not a whole lot more will shock one into near sobriety than a cold water shock to the system! So if Sam wasn't completely sober, she wasn't completely drunk, either. They'll probably both blame themselves for letting it happen but I'm just happy it finally did!
Loving Sante and I'm loving Liz and Sam's friendship. We need different and here it is. Growth.

Yes I’m commenting two years later. I look back at this and I feel like Sam did what any woman would do, be with the guy that puts you first. What Dante said “if that were me I would’ve chosen you”. That’s what won her over. His honesty and ability to see Sam as the most important thing. Sam drunk or not, knew it felt right to kiss Dante.

Alexis and Sonny never married nor Olivia and Julian, they wouldn’t be related at all. Just because they share siblings doesn’t change the meaning of what stepbrother is and that’s definitely not them unless one of said couples got married off screen making their marriages null and void.

Sam got dunked in cold water and then Dante took her to a public place to drink coffee which she did. Ergo Sam was more sober than when the episode started. I don't think Dante expected to kiss her at all. Sam turned around to face Dante as if challenging him to kiss her. She looks quite ready and the kiss is mutual. She is also rational and walks away before it gets even more intense.
