Season 1: really good Season 2: really good Season 3: mediocre with some good parts here and there Season 4: absolute shit Season 5: slow in the first couple episode but became extremely good Season 6 pretty bland first half but got better in the second half Season 7: prison scenes were absolutely amazing every thing else was me Season 8: bitter sweet, sweet because it was a great season every episode up to crisis left you on the edge of you seat the last 2 episodes were good, bitter because it was the end of arrow.
I gotta say I really disagree with some of this, I agree with 1-3, but I liked 4, and then thought 5-8 were just awful maybe some good parts here and there but overall just made everyone so unlikeable and irritating, Adrian chase was so annoying (really this nobody could beat the guy who defeated Ras al ghoul, and so many others), and Diaz who really was even less than Adrian chase but somehow stayed around for pretty much 2 seasons, then they started introducing Oliver’s children in the future, and I would always dread them flash forwarding to the future as those parts were the worst parts of the episode, then they brought in his long lost half sister who of course was just such a good fighter she could take down Oliver Queen easily, also in season 6 they decided to have Oliver’ team turn on him for whatever reason So yea 5-8 were amazing
My name is Malcolm Merlyn, when I heard my crying wife lying in a puddle of blood screaming for help in public via voicemessage, I swore that NO ONE else in the highly criminal Glades would live anymore, BECAUSE THEY DESERVE TO DIE for passing by and letting bleed to death that one person who would save your life unconditionally and right away in her clinic. My son Tommy understandably hates me since I left him for 2 years after Rebecca's death. I just couldn't take the pain and anger and I wasn't psychologically capable of being a good father at the time. So I decided to divert my anger into other channels by joining the League of Assassins. The rest of the world sees me as a big Businessman, multi-billionaire, CEO of Merlyn Global Group, but in a world where a loving, innocent Woman decided to help other people with unimaginable passion and engagement only to be killed by them as thanks, I must bring justice and balance by destroying the Glades as something else... even if I have to sacrifice everything for it included my consience and my soul, so that all the murderers in there suffocate under the rubble to feel the same painfully slow death as my bled woman... I must become... Al Sa-Her - The Magician
It's because his theme in the released soundtrack is linked in with Oliver's theme. But if you said that the Dark Archer isn't a hero to John Barrowman, he has stated in many conventions that Malcolm sees himself as the hero, however flawed his actions are to his intentions, aka he thought destroying the Glades would be better for Starling City in the long run.
I love how his theme is more somber. It’s probably because of how far malcolm has fallen. A respected CEO and a family man to stone cold killer who would destroy a portion of a city for revenge.
Merlyn went threw a lot i admit but destroying the glades now that is some serious fucked up shit the guy killed 503 people and he didn't feel bad at all he even killed his own son! like wow some father he is..
Imo, season 1 Malcolm Merlyn is one of the best characters in the Arrowverse, hands down. His background story and reasoning causes his actions to be more understandable. Though they were very much wrong, don't get me wrong. Malcolm is a good evil. His concept as the Dark Archer is intriguing, etc. Also when his theme plays when one of his moments happen, literally gives me goosebumps. Lol
He was easily one of my favourites throughout the Arrowverse but I feel it wouldve been nice if Arrow came full circle and he was the villain in season 7 or 8
@@namast3260 I don't think Merlyn would've fit for a main villain again, he didn't really have the motivation to be one after S1. I think instead S7 villain should have been an alternate version of Oliver from a different universe, where he never had anyone else in his life, all his loved ones died, and he became a murdering psycho who killed whoever he wanted (almost like Batman Who Laughs). I feel like this would've shown how far he came from The Hood persona from season 1, and how important it was that he got away from being that person.
@Surya Singh He had a reason I would have been worse than him. He was a happy wealthy man and they built a clinic in the glades also. Brick shot Rebecca and left her there and no one did shit to save her. Like I said I would have done worse than he did and he still saved his daughter at the end.
