J.S. Bach Double Concerto in D minor BWV 1043, Gidon Kremer 1. Vivace 2. Largo 3. Allegro Gidon Kremer Violin I, II Academy of St. Martin in the Fields
As far as I remember, the best performances ever. Especially, Largo's 6/8 time signature is impressive. First, it start with 123456/123456/, , but it changes to 12/345612/345612/ in the middle. Swing-by(s) occur between "2" and "3", and they jump over big "1-2" waves without any stress by the accelerated "3456" power. This is one of the few performances that I can feel the depth of J.S. Bach's music.

danke!!!
Bravo!!!
Who can hear the E natural at 02:42?
Musical joke i guess...
I think its dom of F major which is c-e natural-g-b flat, but with a F in the bass ( to go in b flat major)
Oh come on... why does have to play both parts? That kind of thing is enough with Heifetz. Great playing anyway
How can it possible, playing both part? By playing separately and overlapping? But thats not real music!
No he actually played both parts at once, I think. At least, Heifetz did it the way which I described.
