That peace dollar looked pretty good in the video after your first 15-20 second dip in the E-Z-EST. But after you dipped it for another 40 seconds or so it looked way worse. You should probably stick to the instructions, LOL....
I was always told the E Z EST is just for removing tarnish/toning. Milk spots are borax that's baked into the surface of the coin so that's probably why it wouldn't take it off.
The vast majority of coin shops I frequent sell cleaned 90% coins. They look better and really, who cares if your buying just for the silver content. I don't see any issue with it as long as your not dipping CC's or some other valuable coins....
Thank you for making this video. I have the same Curiosities. You have help me decide weather to buy the eZest. Thank you again. I agree with you. They say not to clean coins. I like my proof coins and others in my collection new and shiny.
Patriot I use Tarn X it is ment to remove toning. Try taking that 1 Onza with your fingers and some soft soap get all the dirt off and then dip it. It's good for Bullion coins like ASE'S to remove the tarnishing.
I do this only on ms/bu silver coins. Gold and copper are extremely risky especially copper. I then send them off to PCGS and have never had a problem other than the grade being lower than hoped for. I sell my disappointment coins to my lcs and tell them openly I dipped them. As long as they're in PCGS holders with straight grades then they don't care. I have even jokingly offered to be their official dipper using my PCGS graded coins as my references.
I think it would truly depend on the piece of I would clean or not I love natural toning so I probably wouldn’t unless it was already kinda beat and just dirty
Don't know how much merit there is to this, but I've heard to pour out the EzEst into a separater small container. I believe when you dipped the copper coin in you changed the chemical reaction of the formula which is why it didn't clean some of the others as much. Wonder if you tried with a new jar of the solution if it'd be different. Not being critical. Just sharing what I've read, which could be total nonsense! Thanks for the video, dude.
I have many 2012 Maples. Not one milk spot. I have 2016 Superman Shield coins, half are milk spotted. Those coins look like shit spotted. So I am going to clean them. Cause I know if you were asking me to pay above a Maple for a Superman coin, that SOB better look good! However, I do agree that numis, especially historical, antique coins should be left as is. Great vid! Cheers
I think it's pronounced Easiest (E-Z-EST)... haha but I don't know that. Great video, I've been curious about cleaning some stuff... So that looked stupid easy! The half dollar looked nice, the other may need a scrub or something? I wonder if the mexican money was already matte and dull when minted? Different silver finish perhaps. I wonder if there's any long term residual effects of cleaners on coins? I'll probably pick up a jar just to try out... Good experiment my friend!
nice kookaburra on the background my friend LOL and about cleaning they america eagles, i dont know i am not as brave as you are my friend and i am still subscribed LOL
I use the same product and it works great as long as you rinse the coins thoroughly and alot longer than you did. Then if you use acetone make sure you rinse the coin before you dip or it will damage the coin lol I know from experience 😮💨👍
Hi Patriot Stacker. A lot of the results will depend on the condition of the coin. The term "Cleaning is too generic) and can become controversial. I would recommend checking out the coin help u video ua-cam.com/video/0mECXExgrqE/v-deo.html. I have used different methods on my detecting finds, Obviously coins with little to no numismatic value. For residue, try Acetone, not nail polish remover. Rinse longer than what you would normally think to prevent re-toning. The E Z est is only for tarnish, if the coin is already damaged, it won't fix it. Milk spots are from the minting process( uncleaned planchet before striking) and you won't get rid of them. Good luck

The reason the dealers don’t want you to do this is because they want to do it so they make the money after the cleaning lol

Proper cleaning is preservation. If you dont make it look nice someone will just melt it. You saved some nice conis. Hero!!😉

Ok cool yeah I’ll definitely try. Thanks BA!
I love experiments!!! never tried the stuff. I use baking soda and foil.. Thank you my friend.
Yeah I’ve done the baking soda as well. Lol
Your coins do what you want with them. I would not apologize for doing what you're doing. I think it looks fine.
We all WANT to do this in secret 😂👍
Haha I know right! I do like old dirty coins though too! Lol

I wouldn’t clean any coins that have numismatic value, but generic bullion you want to look nice it be fine. Great experiment!
100% Agree!
Patriot Stacker it’s interesting that the Proof did better! I love getting them in the 90% junk bin!
Use acetone for the gunk.
Polished surfaces react better with this stuff. That's why
After does it have the "polished look"???
It doesn’t give it a polished look. More of a hazey look where the coin is worn or scratched.
I think it would truly depend on the piece of I would clean or not I love natural toning so I probably wouldn’t unless it was already kinda beat and just dirty
Looks like it works better on the proofs due to the smoothness
Yeah I totally agree!
works good on silver. I only use it on my personal collection. don't use on nickels. works good on clad coins.
You should always rinse with distilled water to avoid water spots & dip coin w a spoon .
Great tips! Thank you!

I know it’s crazy how some of those milk spot like crazy. It’s a shame. Thanks for watching my little experiment!

Yeah you’re right, I just like calling it EZest haha
But thanks! Yeah it was definitely an interesting experiment lol
Most Mexican coin contains 10- 50%.
I’ll take that peace dollar 😱🤯
It deserves my love 😍
I’ll trade it!! Lol
Lmao maybe!
nice kookaburra on the background my friend LOL and about cleaning they america eagles, i dont know i am not as brave as you are my friend and i am still subscribed LOL
Yeah I don’t recommend cleaning coins lol
Very nice!!! Great information brother love it!
Thanks man!! I thought it was a fun experiment! Lol
Oh for sure I like this kind of information
👍👍
Nevah! Lol. I wonder...try leaving the dime soaking for a while maybe? Thanks for the video.
I agree.! Don’t clean coins! Lol. Yeah I was going to leave a coin in the chemical for a while to see what happens
Great video brother! Loved watching always been curious and now I know how that works!
Thanks man! Yeah I was curious about this stuff.

Thanks for watching! 😃
If it's bullion have fun. I've heard just cleaning the edge on the side of the rims won't hurt the value.
Yeah I agree! I think it’s completely okay to clean bullion.
great information...thanks
You’re welcome. It was a fun experiment
This is so awesome !
Thank you! 😃😎🤩
someone help with that cleaner? i live in EU, but cannot find any who can send here
Unfortunately I’m not sure where to get it in EU. Sorry my friend.
Interesting experiment!
Thanks! It was definitely interesting lol
@@PatriotStacker It sure was
😊
Someone start a channel where all you do is clean coins. Rainbow toning will get you a million views.
to be fair though if there your coins so you can do what you want but great video I have always wondered about that stuff
True! Yeah I don’t ever clean coins
nice dude
People having strokes right now over this video.
Hahaha I know !!! It was for educational purposes only!!! Lol 😂
Bet alot of coin sellers use this or some type of cleaning!!!!
I lost 2 Subs already from this video 🤪
Another FYI use toilet paper to pat the coins dry a towel can leave scratches.
Yeah that’s true. I don’t ever clean any coins. I just wanted to see what this chemical was all about since I keep seeing it advertised.
@@PatriotStacker hey I'm ok with it, I use Tarn X on my ASE'S because it's only bullion.
I have tried it on a few old coins with no numismatic value.
yeah some of the spots on the coin after cleaning were from not drying it well
That dip looked awfully pale like it had been diluted.
