  • Chasing newly restored CTA 4439 on its first revenue run and later a trio of South Shore Line cars from the Elegant farmer to East Troy. This was during the East Troy Railroad Museum's Chicago Day event.

    I wish they have a passenger rail to see the museum but I’m glad they preserve them well

    That's how I remember the 4000s - in that green and yellow paint scheme, on the Evanston Express. The later 4000s were known as Plushies with their padded seats, canvas roofs and trolley poles. They were popular with museums because they came ready to run.

    They need to have wiring that can take both Pantagraphs and trolley poles like what use to be on the Skokie Swift and westernmost track #1 on the CTA that was from Howard Street to Buena Avenue where CTA FREIGHTS use to run using locomotives that operated with Pantagraphs.
