Global LULC maps provide information on conservation planning, food security, and hydrologic modeling, among other things. This dataset can be used to visualize land cover anywhere on Earth. This layer can also be used in analyses that require land cover input. For example, the Zonal Statistics tools allow a user to understand the composition of a specified area by reporting the total estimates for each of the classes.
For the landslide susceptibility mapping, can we use this data for land use pattern, because the data is more recent 2020, should we use data prior to landslide occurrence year?

Yeah, I got your points. There are some drawbacks of this data. You can consider this class as no data. Because there is no option to do with that class.
All UA-camrs in this space are only talking about download. Has anyone analyzed/estimated the area of each land cover category for their chosen AOI? Let me know what you have found out and I will share mine too.
