No way!!! I love that they're pulling out all these classics. Hope they do the same in Europe
And Worcester
my favorite song!!! i can't believe they play this song again 🔥🔥
That last “breakdown” with the time change for the drums is what activated my obsession with this style. Since I heard this song on their MySpace when Casey Sabol and Chris Barretto were still in the mix it was the beginning of what ended up being an amazing journey that is still goin
its been a wild ride. Wish I could go back and tell the haters that Spencer is still around 15 years later
HELL YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Crazy setlists on this tour!!!
Yes, it is either new songs or old bangers that were not played in a while + acoustic covers
Holy fuck the P1 songs were so damn good live!! Thanks for filming this!
You are welcome :)
5:30 "ROW!" goes extra hard with the lights, fuuuck
Oh yeah, kinda cool how the lights follow the guitars, but ignore the drums, so the snare and downbeat are sometimes in the dark.
Bro they KILLED IT!! Spencer tho... Another level, that guy.
FUCK YES and great shots! Misha LOVES this shit!!
You can tell Misha gets into the P1 songs just a little bit more than the rest of their catalog.
And there ain't nothing wrong with that
He always talks about how he doesn't think greatly of them in hindsight, but that's growing as a musician technically, primaly there's something so fun and powerful about those old building blocks of riffs, they're foundational now
Misha doesn’t have anything against P1 it’s just not as creative as their other albums and the live crowd dosent give it as much hype than their newer stuff
Oh ive missed this song
5:10 man Spencer's screams are aggressive, what a song and performance!
I’m in tears! Still my favorite song. I can still vividly remember when I watched them play this live almost 10 yrs ago.
Same! It was one of the first "big" gigs I ever attended, with them supporting Dream Theater. This and Jetpacks Was Yes! were incredible moments that vividly stuck with me.
so awesome that they played this. I loved the interplay with the crowd screaming back and forth. Would love to see this live someday. The fact that they're playing out this old but gold stuff is quite the draw to go out to their shows again.
spencer gives hes heart singing :)
Letter experiment ❤❤❤❤
Spencer sounds great!!
misha told me that he doesn't play songs from p1 live because they don't get a good crowd reaction, but it looks like quite the positive reaction here.
YASSSSSSSS IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH
couldnt help but watch this whole vid, so awesome
Wish they’d revisit P1 and remaster it like how Spencer wanted to, that thing would sell like crazy, but Misha seemed uninterested.
That would be sick! This album is one of my favorites from them and is just pure nostalgia for me now.
@@Sultanofsleezyeah P1 blew my mind when it came out, I never heard anything like it til then. Love what they evolved into after it, but I still remember the day I discovered P1
@@brooks9184 thank you for purchasing Periphery’s debut long play record 😂😂I don’t know about you but I felt special that we were some of the first people to hear it 😂
@@brooks9184 but yea everyone of their albums are a masterpiece
I'd love that, but not sure how I'd do it.
Remix + new vocals sounds obvious, but Misha said some of the files are lost and they'd need to retrack some things.
That would be extremely time consuming.
I think they'd basically need to retrack everything to do it properly, kinda like Thrice did with The Artist In The Ambulance recently.
But then there's a risk of the original vibe getting lost.
Difficult decision.
Also Misha said, if they were gonna do it properly, he would also rewright some parts as he doesn't like them anymore or would find a better way to fit sections together.
Probably the best approach would be to completely redo everything and not even try to make it sound like the original, just take the ideas and be free.
I cried watching this LOL
Misma SAPEEEE
Is P1 getting rerecorded?! Is it happening?!
I don't think so.
*Remastered, but I highly doubt it
@@MannyMo_ I don't think a remaster would do much. The main issues are with the mix and the engineering, which would mean to basically redo everything to make it sound substantially better.
@@josuastangl7140 I personally love the raw sound and in your face loudness that Misha managed to produce on that album. It's very aggressive from start to finish, and the lack of dynamics really fits the ideas.
@@Quaker763 Yes, that is the mojo that might be lost on a remix. Just like the Thrice TAITA rerecording. The mix sounds a lot better now and the songs are still amazing, but I'm still not sure if I'd listen the new record more than the old one, if I want to give that album a spin.
Damn i thought they were like, never gonna play p1 ever again lmao. Letter's a classic
GREAT video, man!!
Thank you!!!
